Basic No Frills Cutting Board
The LYHLYA Stainless Steel cutting board is a basic no-frills cutting board. I wanted to try this board to avoid microplastics from plastic cutting boards, while still being able to put it in the dishwasher versus wood. It came with a protective film, which I appreciate, and was relatively easy to pull off. It's strictly a stainless steel sheet with no edging around the border. It's a bit rough around the edges so you need to be careful grabbing it or having it rub against things. I like the lip over the edge that holds it in place while cutting. I haven't experienced it moving at all while cutting. It is sturdy but isn't very heavy so it's easy to carry it over to the stove to drop the ingredients into the pot. The size is a good size for most cutting needs. I also like that it is dishwasher safe and washes well in the dishwasher. It unfortunately marks up easily and quickly gets cuts along the whole board as you use it. It's also rougher on the knife blades. There are no grooves to catch liquid runoff, which is fine for my purposes. It's a decent low cost no frills stainless steel board.

Sleek Design, But Beware of Knife Damage and Visible Marks
I recently received the 304 Stainless Steel Cutting Board, and it certainly has a striking aesthetic. It arrives with a protective film on both sides, which is surprisingly satisfying to peel off! The stainless steel sheet features a clever lip bent onto one side, designed to conveniently hook over the counter edge, effectively preventing any slipping during use. While I genuinely love the concept and the clean, modern look of this board, I do have a couple of significant concerns that arose after using it.Firstly, my primary worry is that you are essentially cutting on a surface nearly as hard as your knife blade itself. This inherent hardness could severely impact the sharpness of your knives, dulling them much more rapidly than traditional cutting surfaces like Teflon or wood.Secondly, and directly related to the first point, even after just a single use, there were very visible knife marks across the surface. While these marks aren't necessarily detrimental to the board's function, they certainly reinforce my concern about the rapid dulling of knife blades.Ultimately, while I appreciate the aesthetics and stability, I believe this stainless steel board might be better suited as a pastry board, dough rolling surface, or for non-cutting prep tasks rather than a primary chopping board. It looks great, but its impact on knife sharpness is a considerable drawback for everyday cutting.

Meh
The cutting board is a good size and easy to clean and cut on. The lip on it makes it easy to swipe the waste right into a garbage can. The big problem is that it will dull your knives. There is really no way around it. There is a reason people use wood or hard plastic, unless you want to sharpen your knives every week.

Easy to clean & easy to scratch
The media could not be loaded. This is my first ever stainless steel cutting board and I'm pretty impressed at how easy it is to clean!I like using it as a prep surface instead of a cutting board because it gets scratched so easily and makes it my knife quickly. So, as a prep surface, it keeps my countertop clean while I can just quickly pick up this cutting board and wash away the spices and seasonings that I use on my food. The stainless steel is quality. Peeling of the blue film was SO satisfying. The size is great, and it's not too thin or too thick.Because it's stainless steel, I can scraggly use this in the oven or freezer too, not just my counter top! πI really like this. Honestly I don't even have any complaints. (The scratches would happen on any cutting board, so that's not a quality problem)Well made! ππ»

Long lasting and affordable.
I just unpacked this stainless steel cutting board, and this is the first one that came with a protective coating so it didn't get banged up during shipping. It took a little bit to peel the coating off, but it was not a big deal.I am in the process of replacing all my wooden and plastic cutting boards, and I am going all metal, either stainless or titanium. I love the fact that they do not warp or get deep scratches allowing bacteria to remain even after wiping them clean. I also love the fact that they do not take up any room at all to store. This cutting board needs to be stacked to store. It does not have the option of hanging up, so if that is something you are looking for, this one does not have that capability. It is a nice board. I have used several stainless and titanium boards and have not had any terrible issues. They do get minimal scratches when cutting, but nothing like a wooden or plastic board. The metal boards do not harbor odors, which is another big plus. They are dishwasher safe, unlike wooden boards. They should last a lifetime.
