Great for our Rabbit
Our rabbit is temporarily living in a large dog crate while we move, so I needed new bowls to attach to the inside. He is horrible at knocking over all of his other bowls and making a mess. So far (1 month in) these have been great. Much sturdier than the ones I bought in the parrot section of PetSmart, which broke a few days later. He has managed to tilt these a few times, but I'll take the blame for not tightening them down enough after washing them. The bolt makes it easy to screw it on nice and tight too, good grip for your fingers. I also love you can remove the metal dish, wash and refill with water without having to try to re-attach something full of water to the inside of the cage. I am very happy with my purchase.

Perfect for water during the day
I use this for water for my lab mix. She is a 50lb, adorable little rescue dog, and she is house trained. But, she gets some separation anxiety (and boredom) while I'm at work and tends to eat the house. So, she stays in an oversized crate during the day, and this little bowl is perfect for water. It was easy to attach, and it holds the perfect amount of water to keep her from getting thirsty during the day. It's small, but she doesn't drink much when we're not home anyway. I just wanted her to have the option. I like that you don't have to detach the whole thing to clean the bowl, because the metal bowl sits down inside the plastic one that is attached. Our other dog has a crate, but we don't close him in there. He is just emotionally attached to it. He was so jealous of her little bowl that we had to get him one too. The giant water bowl in the kitchen he already has access to is just not enough. He likes options. Lol

Nice crate bowl
Depending on the size of your crate the attachment method might be awkward. I have a large metal crate, the gaps are about 1.5 inches apart, I found it difficult to attach this in certain locations securely. The attachment method works well enough but I kept thinking I was going to strip the plastic threads out trying to get it tight enough to secure it to the crate. Other than that, these work perfectly and are easy to use and clean.

Very pleasantly surprised
I expected this to come and break in a hot minute. Nope. I love, love, love that there are no sharp edges for my dog to injure herself on. It's sufficiently easy to remove the stainless bowl for cleaning but my dog won't be able to remove it. The clamp idea seemed odd at first, but it really works well. For this price, I'll buy a couple of extras as backups just in case I need them in the future.

Much smaller than anticipated, pops off sometimes
I bought the large size, which just about holds 2 cups of dry food if you fill it all the way to the top. I anticipated it being a bit larger, but it's enough, I guess. My major problem is that the bowls detach fairly easily, my dog dropped a small bone into it (maybe 3-4" long, 5 oz weight?) and it popped off and fell down. I accidentally nudged the side and it popped off again. I've tried tightening it more, but I honestly feel like it would be better suited for the square grate of a pet carrier to the rectangle grate of my dog crates. The gripping plates are somewhat small and just honestly don't tighten to the necessary pressure to keep it on well.

Love these bowls
I had gotten one prior for my 2 yr old Labradoodle and it works great, but after buying this 2nd one for my new 9 month old Pomeranian/Husky mix, it got destroyed in days. The puppy would tip it over despite how tight I screwed it on, and he chewed off the white screw cap and then chewed into the adjoining piece to where I couldn't screw it together anymore so had to throw away. Wish it was more indestructible.

Perfect!
I do wish it was a bit bigger for my 58 pound dog but it will work for about 4 hours a day in the crate. I use this for water. Easy to remove the bowl with no spillage and i dont have to unhook it from the crate like i did with my other dog bowl.

Save your money, buy metal ones.
I dont recommend. I ordered 6 of these and one came defective. I would consider returning it because it was already messed up when I got it, but my dogs knocked the others off the kennels and chewed on them. They fall off so easily because you can't completely tighten them down like you can metal ones. Save your money, buy metal ones. I wanted these to work so bad because they are cute but they just are not practical when you're picking them up off the bottom of the crates everytime you turn around.
