Decent bag for the price
This is a pretty solid bag for the price point, especially if you're able to get the Prime Day deal going on as I am writing this. If you travel often you already know this, but I'm going to say this for the benefit of someone who may not fly often or may even be looking for a piece of luggage for their first flight. Make sure you check the allowable dimensions for the airline you're flying. Just because this bag is marketed as a carry on that is "airline approved," doesn't mean it will work for your specific trip. Honestly I don't even know what that means, approved by what airline and approved for what purposes? Anyway, here are the things I like about this bag. While I have soft sided and hard shell bags, these days I lean more towards hard shell bags, and this one definitely fits the bill. I'm an admitted chronic over packer who is trying to convert to a carry on only guru. Hard shell bags literally keep me from overpacking because there is not extra "give." I like that it has buckles instead of a zipper, and that the corners are reinforced. I like the layout of the interior, it makes sense to me. One side for my packed items, with the compression straps, and the other for dirty clothes and/or shoes, which can nestle neatly beneath the zipped, two pocketed area on the opposite side; one "wet bag" pocket where you can put toiletries and a second pocket to put smaller incidentals. I also like that there are two carrying handles. You'd be surprised how many bags don't have the side handle, which can be a hassle when trying to get your bag into the overhead bin. The cover that's included is a nice touch. The telescopic handle feels a little less than premium, but at this price point I wouldn't expect a premium feel. Same for the wheels. They work well enough on hard smooth floors, but they definitely don't have a premium feel and require a little extra effort on short pile carpet. Again, can't expect designer feel on a budget priced item. The cup holder feels a little gimmicky to me, and again, far from premium. It's a trend I think as I see it on other bags. It might hold a small cup of coffee in a paper cup but I wouldn't trust it to hold anything more substantial than that. And the one thing that I don't really like are the TSA locks, and this is probably more of a "me" problem. I have long, natural nails. Not super crazy long, but I have nails, and I find it kind of hard to work the TSA lock because of it. I feel like the dials need to be slightly larger in order to turn them, it's a bit of a struggle for me. Not impossible, and again, probably a "me" problem, but I find it a little annoying because of the small size. Other than that it was pretty easy to set a new code. Ultimately, if you're in the market for a budget bag and this fall within your budget (and the carry on size restrictions of the airline you'll be flying on), I would say this is a pretty solid pick.

Secure & Sleek Carry-On, Minor Opening Consideration
This 20-inch Carry On Luggage has been a fantastic addition to our family's travel gear, especially for shorter trips. The "Zipperless Luggage" design with an "Aluminum Frame" feels incredibly secure and durable, giving me great peace of mind that our belongings are well-protected during transit. It truly is "Lightweight" for a hard shell, making it easy to lift into overhead bins, and the smooth-rolling wheels navigate busy airports effortlessly, even with our child in tow. The "TSA Approved Hard Shell Suitcases" feature simplifies security checks. Its "22x14x9 Airline Approved" dimensions mean it fits perfectly as a carry-on for most major airlines. My only reason for a 4-star rating is that while the clam-shell opening is very secure, it does require a bit more space to open fully compared to zippered luggage, which can be a minor inconvenience in tight hotel rooms or airplane aisles. However, for its robust security, sleek look, and travel compliance, it's a very solid choice.

hard sided carry on with lots of features
The UrbanExplorer hardshell carryon looks like it belongs in the movies. Its design is futuristic and retro at the same time while the ridged design imparts a sense of ruggedness. Don’t treat it in a rugged manner though. This should be handled with care. While it will get your belongings from point A to point B and on a flight, I would not stress test this on gravel roads or dragging it up a large flight of steps. Besides, when it looks so good, you don’t want to damage it. Its part of the appeal. At any rate, it has a sizable and cavernous interior space. The design itself can lend to either packing each side separately or over packing one side only. Besides that, there are some neat touches. Notably the TSA lock and the beverage holder. Yes, a beverage holder that is built right into the back and neatly tucked away flush. It might also be the first thing to break off but I’ll definitely try to be careful with it because that’s neat! The wheels are smooth and can go in any direction. I have found that there are a lot of aftermarket wheels that you can buy and basically replace the stock wheels if they get damaged. The wheels themselves have shock absorbers and brakes. I didn’t really care for either and I’m sure there will be a time when I want brakes but its an edge case. This is a fantastic carry on and has a ton of little thoughtful add-ons here and there. It will do the job and should fit most overhead bins but don’t expect ruggedness similar to other more recognizable players in the market. As long as you know that and you treat this carryon with care, it will last.
