Is there a maximum limb diameter that this will work with?

I have cut a 5 inch limb in about 5 minutes. The blade is 13 inches so I would think 8 would be possible. Great tool. Very sturdy and well built.

If I used two of these for loading a kayak (sliding up the poles) on a car how much weight would they hold? 100lbs?

I wouldn't trust it to hold that much weight at its shortest let alone extended. I'd hate to see the kayak fall on top of your car while loading.
