Quality issues.
This was once a spicy powder, which went well with the food items.To tone,down the spicy flavor sugar was added, which sadly continues till date. I had stopped buying the packet for more than a year, but bought it recently hoping it had revived it's earlier standards. It is sadly not so, so won't be buying it ever again.
