Q: How does the flavor compare with walnut oil ? I get along with pecans in the nut form but not walnuts.

I, like you, am less tolerant of walnuts than pecans, but I always add walnut oil to dishes for which it is suitable, gingerbread loaf, on occasion, pancakes, cookies, and the like. It adds a subtle enhancement. That's not to say I don't keep both walnut and pecan oil in stock at all times. I do. So too, pistacio and almond oil. I love olive oil, but the flavor is strong, and I prefer it to particular dishes so as not to overwhelm other ingredient flavors and bouquets. Have fun, and good luck.

No. This is about 2 and a half cups of oil or more.

Q: Can this be used to flavor coffee beans?

Coffee beans are roasted dry. Coffee has plenty of natural oil. I would flavor the cup before hot water or the cream instead!World Markets had a Bourbon Pecan Coffee for sale in Sep.. quite good!
