The mat: The top is super soft and feels great. It has a little cushion but it's not bouncy, foamy, or springy in any way. The mat is comfortable and firm. There's no give at the bottom, so I can't see this sliding or awkwardly curling. I think the weight helps keep it flat and uniform throughout. I got the monkey design, definitely caught glimpses at class and a few people commented on how cool the mat was. A couple asked where I got it. Needless to say, it clearly stands out next to the others. It was easy to be aware of the mat and how comfy it felt on my feet.Working out: Working out on this feels great. The mat seems keeps a solid feel at the bottom, with a slight give on top. Just comfy and not sticky. My first workout was a Hot Yoga where I normally use a towel over my mat. In this case I used the mat by itself. Since the texture on top is the same as a typical yoga towel. It was nice not having to keep moving my towel around or adjusting it flat through different poses. It kinda just allowed me to concentrate freely on the exercises. As the workout went on, my sweat was completely absorbed by the mat. Other mats I've had just seem to just puddle it making them more slippery as the workout went on, which is why I've had to use a separate towel. This soaked it right up. I perspired enough for it to be visually noticeable on the mat, but once dry, it didn't show as it had been used before. In other words, there wasn't a stain. I can see that I will need to wash it at some point. Instructions just call for machine wash/air dry. Did seem to dry pretty fast though.Other: packaging is nice, suitable as a really nice gift. It comes with a strap, but may buy a bag.Overall: Very happy. Quality and overall feel seems really high. Visually, it's awesome and funky. Look forward to working out again.

Just 3 minor negatives:(1)The rubber smell from the mat when first delivered is quite strong.(2)Microfiber is slippery. So it takes a while to get used to, but can help show just how well balanced you really are.(3)Microfiber can collect dirt pretty easily. So if there's white print on your mat, like mine, just be cautious with storing it and cleaning it.The picture does not give the mat enough justice. It is beautiful in person, and I love having the beautiful mat to help set the mood while I'm practicing yoga.The quality of the mat is great! The curl from storing doesnt stay like most mats, and the mat lays nicely.Overall, very pleased. Worth the price!

I didn't realize that this mat can ONLY be used for hot yoga. If you aren't soaking wet with sweat, you just slide over the surface. Unfortunately I didn't keep the box so now I have a $70 yoga mat I can't use. It's really too bad because it's well-made and I love the design.

Love this yoga mat! I do hot yoga only and it works great. No slipping at all. Worked well dry and stayed great as it got saturated. I sweat easily and alot!!Beautiful design too. Will report back on how durable it is with time.

Considering there aren't that many reviews on this product, I decided to buy the mat anyway. I'm so glad I did. It was definitely worth the investment. I've used this yoga mat at least 5 times so far and it works well. The first use definitely worked better than it has been lately for some reason, but still is better than most other yoga mats. My only gripe is that there isn't as much cushion as I would like, but not yoga mat really is. Suck it up, buttercup! I don't slide when I sweat, which is the main reason for purchasing, and it's awesome to look at! So far nothing is breaking down, or falling apart.

Love love love this mat....it is beautiful and allows me to ditch the hot towel for the bikram yoga classes I take. You do need to put a small amount of water down for inversions if you aren't sweating yet, it makes it much stickier. I just need to figure out how often to wash it and with what but that is ok! I am in the trial and error phase on this :)

Really pretty mat. The microfiber surface is really only appropriate for hot yoga as it does not provide the sticky mat functionality for a standard room temperature vinyasa class. I tried spritzing the top and bottom sections with water, but still did not feel I had enough grip for eka pada Vasisthasana or Eka pada adho mukha svanasana. It would probably be fine for a Yin yoga class or for a PT mat because it’s very easy to slide around on. I will be sticking with (pun) my Manduka.

The mat is absolutely beautiful but it is worthless have tried it in a regular yoga class I have tried it in a hot yoga class no grip and you slip all overwish I could return it but I think it’s too late
