Q: What's the difference between this blade and the "morakniv companion fixed blade outdoor knife with carbon steel blade, military green, 4.1-inch"?

Difference 1) the blade is about .5 inches shorter2) the blade is a little thinner (.02 inches thinner)3) No rubber on the handle 4) the sheath looks a little bit different 5) about $5 cheaper Same1) blade steel 2) sharpness 3) ratail tang (not full tang but rather 3/4 of a full tang)4) both are great blades

Q: Does Morakniv make sheaths for left handers? I'd be willing to pay extra for a left handed sheath.

I’m not sure what their offering are for lefties however I am a lefty and I prefer this sheath on my left and when I draw the knife it is reverse draw and defense ready. If I am not in defense situation when I draw I simply change the knife position in my hand and whittle away. For what it’s worth.

Q: My son is left-handed. Is this beveled on both sides?

It's a symmetrical handle and blade, so it will work for either hand. (Not that I'm sure it would matter if the blade was beveled to the opposite side anyway???)

Q: will this knife float if dropped in the water?

I put water in sink, put knife in and it sank to the bottom. The case did float. Put knife in case and the whole thing sank.
