I was skeptical because I had returned another “all aluminum” case from a different brand because it looked and felt cheap in person. Not so with this beauty. Out the box it looked big but I measured it and as stated it confirms to airline specs for carry ons. It’s well made, sturdy and the black is handsome. Just got back from a 2-week summer vacation using just the suitcase and 18” duffle. It was all I needed. Never programmed the lock and had no problems with it opening. Lock feels sturdy. Love the interior with the zipped closure on one side and the Velcro on the other. Bought packaging cubes in black for a nice sleek look. Rolls well and even though it was aluminum, as a woman, I was able to lift it into the overhead. My trip entailed 5 flights. I carried on for each but after the first trip noticed a dent in one corner (I have no idea how that happened) and a few tiny areas where the black finish came off (the crown of the studs in particular). I then used the plastic cover for the rest of the trip and no more dings. I recommend putting it on first trip. Cons: handle sticks some times. It did not go up and down as smoothly and effortlessly as I would like. I did not care overmuch for the branding in silver at the top. It’s not a recognizable brand so doesn’t add value. Changing it to black would be better but I just pretended it was my initials, not that it came up. Overall, if you are looking for a well-made suitcase that is handsome and makes a statement, this is it. I would never check this bag and highly recommend using the provided cover from the start. Latch Broken. Requested Return with Refund. They sent Replacement anyways even though I opted out! Had to reach out to Customer Service and let them know I lost faith in the Craftsmanship and didn't want a Replacement. So now having to repeat the entire Return and Refund process! What an inconvenience! Beware Do Not Buy! Too much Trouble for a Broken Latch on an almost $200 Suitcase!

In opening the box this was shipped in, I pulled out the luggage and removed all the plastic surrounding the three handles.I examined the suitcase on the outside with an aluminum hard shell on all sides and reinforced metal corners. In opening it up, there is a zippered flap on the left-hand side that you can seal up that compartment. On top of that flap are two large mesh pockets, one of which has a waterproof lining.On the right-hand side, there is a rectangular flap made of fabric, also with two zippered mesh pockets. The flap is rimmed with firm wire, so it holds its shape. It is held in place by Velcro straps looped through buckles. The straps are removable, so the flap can be removed if so desired.The straps are also designed so that you can un-Velcro one side and open it up so you can fill the interior with your stuff before Velcroing it closed. This will secure the flap on top of your clothes, so they don’t move around during travel.It’s worth noting that at the bottom of the lining on each side of the suitcase is a zipper in the lining that gives you access to the aluminum side of the interior.The exterior has two TSA-approved combination locks on it. This means you set the combination on them and the TSA can access the suitcases’ contents for inspection without breaking the lock on them, as they have a special key for access. The instructions for changing the combination are printed on a removable card inside the luggage. The instructions were well-written and the combination was easy to adjust.It also includes a plastic covering that you can use to pull over the entirety of the suitcase if the need arises, if you are pulling it along in the rain. It fits perfectly over the exterior and Velcro’s at the bottom, with all three handles still available through the various notches on this plastic covering.The telescoping handle moved smoothly into and out of its housing with ease. It telescopes out in three different stages, each one locking into place securely. It also pulls out for a maximum of twenty-two inches out of the suitcase itself, so it is suitable for people of any arm length and/or height. When not in use, it sits perfectly in its recessed housing on the back of the suitcase.The wheels are hard plastic with rubberized edges, ensuring smooth rolling in whatever direction you need it to go.How does it handle on the go? It worked very well for several long train rides into and out of New York City over the course of many weeks, withstanding the banging of bumping against other riders, up and down stairs as well as escalators. It handled the rigors of travel with nary a bump or a scratch on it.Overall, this is a sturdy and durable aluminum hard-shelled suitcase that can handle traveling of all types with ease and security and without any problems.
