Think of this as a cane that you can use for balance and support, not as a grab-bar that you can pull against. We use it for helping us balance while getting into and out of our ground-level pool and hot tub, which does not have hand rails. It is perfect for how we use it. I like it because it is not permanently attached to the pool deck. We can move it easily from the pool to the hot tub and back again. It's very sturdy. I definitely would buy it again. We should have bought it sooner!

I wanted this to work really badly, because it's so small and convenient. I occasionally need help standing up, but when I tried to use this, I felt like it was going to make me fall. Not enough stability. We older people seem to fall pretty often (at least I do), and I wasn't about to keep a supposedly helpful device that was certain to cause a fall.I'm still looking for something to help me.

Physics. I think this is a sturdy gadget if the weight comes directly from overhead. But, if you push slightly in any direction it will lean in that direction. I currently have it next to my bathtub and can use that as a backstop for leaning, to provide greater security.I had difficult putting the pipes into the base. Some of the rubber shredded off the base, but by adding some oil to the inside of the base, I got the pipes in. I did contact customer service (they provided and email address on the instructions) and I got a response within 48 hours.

My father has become very weak in the legs, but loves to garden. This has been a great help for him to get up and down while gardening.

This company is excellent to do business with. had a problem fitting the frame and customer service suggested heating the base with a hair dryer. Not having one, I put them in my air fryer for two minutes and it worked. I didn't think anything would allow that frame into the base and such a simple solution. If you should experience the same problem, remember heat will expand the hard rubber opening.

I read the other reviews and agree that this is a valuable tool. This will help me take on a few tasks I've been hesitant to deal with because of trouble getting up from the floor sometimes. Also, this is light weight and VERY easy to adjust so that will be great. I assembled it lightening fast and tried it out. Contrary to what a couple of reviewers found, I found it very stable, strong, and helpful with chores.

Great idea BUT the two rubber base holes are so tight I had to use a shop grinder shaving off outer pipe wall (sharpening it), oil and a heavy rubber mallet to pound it into place. If this was fixed it would be very good. Luckly, I had a garage shop, oil & tools to do the fix.

I don’t know how I lived without this to get up from my bed. I have a cane, walker, wheelchair, & lift recliner…but I was missing something. We changed my bedroom around & now I only have about 3 feet between side of the bed & furniture so the walker doesn’t fit & the cane is inadequate. When I saw this handy tool I was intrigued & decided to try it. It’s great. Getting out of bed is now so much easier. I do have 2 suggestions. 1It was hard to push the legs into the bases. I’m 77 & couldn’t do it. My strong 56 year old son did it for me. It would be nice if that could be done before shipping. 2) It would be great to have one available that was taller. I was trying to nail some picture hangers into the wall & losing my balance. I suddenly realized how handy an extra 3 or 4 inches would be. I’m so glad I found this product. I would definitely recommend it.
