So good I bought the same model again!
I recently bought this as a replacement for the exact same model which I've had for years; I'm not sure exactly how long I've had it, but I know for sure it's at least eight years, and probably more like ten. So this review is mostly about my experience with the old outgoing rucksack, which I think is fine with it being the same model. I went for the same model again because I've been so happy with it over the years. The rucksack has plenty of compartments besides the main one, which are very useful for keeping assorted smaller bits and pieces in, and things you might need quick access to without rummaging through the main compartment. The laptop compartment is well padded and I have used it to transport various laptops and tablets without any damage ever occurring.Over the years the rucksack has been used extensively for work, leisure, travel. It's been slung around planes and trains, assorted factories, warehouses, theatres, arenas, festival sites and has weathered them all admirably. Very early on, the ends of the top carry handle did crack and become detached, making the handle slightly shorter, but that's no big deal, it just shows the handle was a little bit too long to begin with, putting too much strain on the ends. Since then, there has been no damage until very recently when a hole about two inches in diameter has opened up on the bottom of the rucksack. I don't think that's bad going for the abuse it's had over quite a long period of time.I would not say this is a suitable serious backpacking rucksack; it's just not big enough for that. But it is a great casual rucksack for work and play, or for use as an overnight bag or as cabin baggage on a flight, especially if you have a laptop or tablet you want to transport safely. One thing to note is that none of the zips provide any easy means of locking the rucksack, which some people may consider a problem if carrying a laptop and leaving the bag unattended. Personally I don't see it as an issue, because with a rucksack being easily portable anyway, if someone is going to steal from it, they may as well just take the whole bag.

Good quality, sturdy bag, perfect as a small travel suitcase
Pros:Good sized bag, whose front unzips the whole way meaning it can open like a rolly suitcase, and along with the roughly square shape and deep sides, means this bag is great as a small backpack suitcase for traveling. The side pockets are wide and deep enough to easily fit an average water bottle, with 3 front pockets (a large top pocket of good size, the middle one could do with being a bit bigger, but can fit in a phone, wallet and keys adequately. The bottom pocket is bigger and can easily fit a Kindle, for example). This main compartment has a useful laptop pocket, which fits my 'sleeved-up' Mac with no problems. The main handle on top is also good qulity rubber, making it feel strong and comfortable. I use this bag every day for work, as well as traveling, and it is still in good shape over a year later.Cons:Doesn't have a back zipper for the laptop pocket, which was a nice feature on my previous JEEP bag, and the straps and back are not padded like the previous bag, meaning it is not quite as comfortable. Saying that, I've packed it full of stuff for weekends away and can carry it without trouble or discomfort.Overall:Good quality, sturdy bag, perfect as a small travel suitcase, but could use more padding to be extra comfortable.

The Tardis of backpacks
Excellent backpack. Very roomy, and offers very good protection for your laptop. I even managed to fit my large graphics tablet in there too, along with all the usual stuff I need to carry as a cyclist.I also used it to do my shopping at the supermarket. I took a couple of carrier bags as well, just in case. No need. Even fits a 20 can box of lager with no problems!

Brilliant bag
This bag is brilliant value for money, since I have to carry a lot around with me it is perfect. Very durable and has plenty of pockets. The straps are very easy to adjust, the zips seem to be a good quality also. The only problem is that water gets in relatively quickly. Not much more to say,———————————————————————————Pros:•Good quality bag•Enough pockets for all needs•Zips are good to use•Size altering is very good•Has a a laptop section———————————————————————————Cons:•Not waterproof———————————————————————————I recommend this bag as it is good value for money at this size and has suited my needs very well.———————————————————————————•Value for money [9/10]•Build Quality [8/10]•Reliability [9/10]•Size [10/10]

Just the bag...
Really happy with this purchase. About half the price of the Swissgear / Wenger rucksack it replaced, but still able to carry my 15" work laptop (reckon it could even carry a 17" one, given the pocket space) and an A4 ring binder for my meeting notes, in the main compartment. Enough smaller compartments for the plethora of other bits and pieces I use at work and elsewhere (wallet, keys, phone, sat-nav, cold / allergy medication to name a few).Comfortable to carry on the shoulder. Seems very well-made and durable, though I haven't had it long enough to really test this. I would be a bit wary of the top carry handle splitting after a while, as it's made the same way as my old Swissgear's. Overall, would recommend this as a decent general purpose rucksack for work, school or uni.

No regrets buying this.
Excellent rucksack, lot's of useful pockets with plenty of room for all sorts of items. This is a very flexible item with plenty of adjustment available with all straps and made to a good standard. The acid test is in the using of this over time but I have no reason to expect problems in view of the quality construction and materials used. Very pleased I bought this as it's exceeded my expectations so far.Shame it's JEEP endorsed as I drive a LAND ROVER.....oh well....who cares as it doesn't matter really LOL.
