Excellent alternative to the big hard plastic cone!
Last night after getting home from the vet with our 103lb American Akita was a struggle all night. He had to be neutered due to chronic bacterial prostatitis. The after surgery cone(gigantic clear hard plastic lampshade thingy) from the vet that was $21 was not a good fit for him.1. He hated it.2. He kept getting out of it.3. He couldn't lie down comfortably.4. He couldn't fit under the kitchen table where he likes to lie unless we moved 2 chairs away from the table. So we put his rubber mesh muzzle on him instead. Well he got that off too.So we put his nylon muzzle on. He got that off after a few minutes as well. LOLSo I ordered this from Amazon for $16.98, it came early this morning and it's working great! He's very comfortable, he fits under the table with it, and he hasn't tried to remove it. WIN!!!!I was worried about the size because I ordered the largest one they offered and prayed it fit. It did!!!! His regular dog collar is 25" and this inflatable collar is an XL which says 21"-24", it fits perfectly and isn't too tight. I definitely recommend this for anyone with a big dog that needs an after surgery collar.

It works when dog won't tolerate a cone.
This was a face saver. My dog could not heal his wound on his cheek because he could not stop scratching it. This thing blows up, and it is thick plastic stuffed inside some firm fabric. I blew it up, used his collar to secure it around his neck, and he's had it on for 4 days now. He is not bothered by it at all. It's stopping him from scratching and the wound scabbed over.We have more than one dog, and the other dog bit the donut. Well, I just put some glue on the hole and slapped some duct tape on it and blew it right back up!

My animals comfort
Needed something that would not make my dog crazy and scared like the cone the veterinarian give your dog after surgery and this seems to work well he’s not as nervous.

Fit but could still reach back end
I got the large. It fit nice around my 65 pound goldens neck but unfortunately he was still able to reach his rear end/tail/back hip area which is what I was trying to get him to stop licking (hot spot) so I needed to return it. I think if the balloon part was fatter and more round it would work.

Post-Op Lifesaver
This “donut” was a game changer for my dog’s recovery. Kept him from reaching his stitches while also serving as a neck pillow. It was light / comfortable enough that he didn’t mind wearing it, and it has held up very well. The high-quality fabric is separate from the inner tube, and can be unzipped and removed if it needs to be washed. Definitely got my money’s worth.

No licking
The directions specify to use an inflation gauge, but you can inflate it by using your own air. Very attractive. The size is right. My corgi is 6 months old and weighs about 18#.

Sorry….
Big disappointment, can’t use. I couldn’t inflate without a small hand pump for balls but then it slowly leaked. My pup is getting spayed and umbilical hernia repair in a few days. Luckily, I ordered two post surgery suits to protect surgery site that vet recommended.

My dog takes it off easily
Nothing wrong with it but my dog is too smart and figured out how to pop it off by rubbing his head along the doorway.
