Does a great job – very impressed
I’ve previously been using a much more basic Wybot pool cleaner. I’ve been very impressed with that product which has done a great job in keeping my pool clean. I particularly liked that it was cordless – I have friends with corded cleaners that are often tying themselves up in knots. However, it’s not perfect:• It would simply suck up debris but not scrub the pool surfaces• No cleaning of the pool’s sidewalls• Random movementThis new cordless C1 cleaner also from Wybot addresses these deficiencies nicely. It has much more intelligent control and uses three powerful motors to move the cleaner and to scrub the walls. The movement is much better controlled and optimized and is able to clean the pool much quicker. A mobile device app is used to set up the cleaner prior to use and the various modes of operation are set up using that. Once the cleaner is in the pool, the app can no longer communicate with the cleaner which is a shame because now it can’t tell me when it’s finished. In operation, it does a great job navigating my rectangular pool – apparently, it’s able to map the pool dimensions and can tell where it is in the pool so that cleaning becomes very precise and efficient. The scrubbing roller seems to be very powerful and does a great job in loosening deposits on the pool surfaces. I quickly learned that it would pull off some rechargeable underwater lights I had put into the pool, so I have to remove these before using this cleaner. It doesn’t pull off the magnetic mounting plates for these lights. This new cleaner is a lot more money than the previous one but it does a much better job of navigating the pool, sucking up debris, and giving it a good scrub as it goes. I think it’s worth the extra.

It's like having your own pool boy!
This pool cleaner is phenomenal. I have another Wybot brand cleaner that I use for my above ground pool and I'm very impressed with their quality and functionality. I took it out of the package and immediately plugged it in to fully charge the cleaner. Be sure to do this first thing as well as keep it charged in the off-season, so it keeps the battery running properly. It doesn't take a really long time to fully charge the cleaner. Once it was charged, I was able to easily follow the instructions to put it in the pool and start cleaning. You download the app onto your phone and set how you want it to run (walls and floor, floor only, etc.). Be sure the cleaner is out of the water when you set it. If you have it in the water, it can't connect to the cleaner and it won't clean how you want it to. The instructions say the run time is 120 minutes, but I timed mine and it ran for an impressive 135 minutes. I ran it on the default setting, so it cleaned my sidewalls first and then the bottom. It comes up the side all the way to the coping around the pool. I actually thought it was going to come out of the water to clean my lanai pavers lol. I'm serious when I say it cleans better than the guy from our pool company. It moves slowly along the bottom of the pool to pick up dirt, sand, bugs and hair. At first, I thought it was moving too slow and then I realized that the slower speed in which it goes across the floor is perfect. That way it doesn't skim over debris too fast and not pick it up. The filter basket is easy to get to and easy to figure out how to empty once the cleaning is complete. I was very impressed with how much hair, sand, dirt and even tiny pieces of a sponge that had disintegrated into the water when we were scrubbing the tile that it had picked up. Save your money on the expensive robotic pool cleaners and get this one. I highly recommend it!

No more cords! Amazing!
I have a 9 foot deep, 20x40 inground pool with vinyl walls. This is my third pool robot. The first one was a suction type that you hooked to the skimmer using a long tube, and it would suck the pool floor/walls as it moved forward. It was a huge pain to set up each time, and didn't really work that well. The second one was electric and I still use it. It cost triple what this little Wybot costs and performs about the same. It has a long cord that connects the robot to the power supply and has to be wound up each time. What a pain. The slip-joint in the cord failed and had to be replaced (under warranty, fortunately). The Wybot is my first time using a cordless, rechargeable robot. It is a huge breath of fresh air to not have cords to deal with. It seems to suck quite a bit stronger than my other robot, and moves faster also. There are several programmed patterns you can choose from on the phone app, and it actually does seem to do them (it's not just random). There is no manual control from your phone, unfortunately, but that feature doesn't work well on top of the line models anyway, from what I've read. The phone app has terrible reviews, but that must have been for previous versions because it's been flawless for me on my Android phone. The robot can run for a maximum of 150 minutes, but the charge time is a whopping 3 hours. During the early season of opening my pool, this charge time was super annoying. I'm sure during normal summer maintenance cycles it won't be an issue, but getting the initial cleanup done required me to use both robots at the same time. Also, the power cord is NOT weatherproof, meaning I have to walk the robot back to my garage to plug it in each time. I will eventually solve this with a plastic box or something to keep it dry when it rains. The manual says not to run your pump while the robot is running, and not to swim in the pool either. I intend to ignore both of those suggestions as they seem ridiculous to me.The filter basket is super easy to remove (out the top side, which is how all robots SHOULD be!) and cleans up very quickly. However, the mesh is not as super fine as my other robot and I suspect it will be best at picking up sand and larger stuff like dead bugs (vs. algae, which it seems to suck up and then blow right out the top). I would love it if they offered finer baskets that I could purchase and then use the one I need based on the state of my pool (my current robot has three different mesh choices). The robot has yet to climb my stairs and clean them. I suspect it never will as I've never seen a robot manage them (though they all claim they do).The bot comes with some float accessories so that you can fine tune it's buoyancy if it's having trouble climbing your walls. I didn't need this, but think it's an excellent thing for them to include. It's supposed to go to a nearby wall when the charge level is low, but I found it often going to a wall on the deep end. It's not hard at all to hook the unit with the included hook, but it would be a bit easier if they changed the color of the handle to make it more visible. It's black on black right now and that can mean searching around a bit until you snag it.Overall, I give this 4 stars due to the few minor issues I found: slow charging time, a charger that's not waterproof, and the filter mesh isn't fine enough. But these are pretty minor compared to the incredible advantages of this robot. It's cordless, relatively light weight, cleans up easily and works incredibly well. The next time I'm in need of a new robot, Wybot will be at the top of my shopping list!

Pool climbing vacuum
The cordless design is a huge convenience, eliminating the hassle of dealing with tangled cords. The wall-climbing function ensures a thorough cleaning of both the pool floor and walls, leaving everything spotless. I especially appreciate the larger top-loading filters, which are easy to access and clean. Its 150-minute runtime is more than enough to clean my 65-foot pool efficiently.
