Coralife 08605 Lunar Aqualight High Output T5 Quad Lamp Fixture, 30-Inch

I've had this light for about a month or two and I will say I'm very happy with my purchase! My plants are growing so fast! And brown algae issues? A thing of the past.The fan is somewhat noisy, but its drowned out by the sound of my hang on the back filters running. So unless you have a quite setup (like a canister filter underneath a cabinet) I wouldn't worry about it. However if the fan does become a problem, it's just a standard computer fan screwed to removable plastic cover on the top of the fixture. You could probably go to a computer store and buy a quieter one. I believe they even designed the fan to be replaced like this.If you are planning on using this for freshwater I would pick up a couple bulbs to replace the actinics it comes with while your at it. Simply because bulbs for this light fixture are not sold in most stores. Actinic bulbs make a freshwater tank look weird (in my opinion) and don't give off frequencies of light that your plants can use. As a matter of fact I believe only algae can capitalize on light given off by actinics. You don't want that in freshwater! I replaced mine with 2 6700k bulbs and kept the 10000k bulbs that came with the light. The colors are stunning in my densely planted tank.Can't say much about the three separate power cords; except that they're awesome. There are many lights in this price range that don't have this feature; but this should be a standard. My only fuss with the cords is that the switch for the moonlights is on the cord. I'd rather the switch be on the back of the fixture like the others, but that's just preference.For the price, It doesn't get much better than this. Love it so far! :)

Great light quality and bulbs lasted. Received in good shape nothing broken, and I have no complaints other than the fan is alittle loud. I have played with it and get it to stop making as much noise but will probably replace cooling fan.(been running this fixture for over 2 years now).

Only lasted year and a half before fan started going bad and moonlights burnt out.Worked well while it worked

I've done just about everything I can to contact the seller. Positives: I wouldn't know, the lights look good on Youtube and reviews are good.NEGATIVES!!! : I was extremely exited for the arrival of this light. I opened the package, which was way to big, and the protection was just a balled up piece of brown paper. I opened up the lights' box and immediately noticed the sheer size of the fixture. Then, I noticed the broken glass. When I got a closer look, I stepped on a piece of glass and then noticed it was everywhere. EXTREMELY disappointed in the shipping... hoping for a replacement... and the LED's covers were gone.

I love these lights they are energy efficient and very quiet. Some reviewers said that the fans are loud, I disagree they are whisper quiet. I was also concerned about electric bill but after running for a month, I barely noticed a spike in usual electric usage. I highly recommend these lights. My corals seem very happy and the 3 lighting choices are great for a realistic sun up sun down effect. I do wish that they had a dimmer or would slowly turn on instead of switched on max brightness.

Just getting into the hobby and researching and selecting correct lighting was a bumpy road to say the least... Fits PERFECTLY on my 36G bow. For the 3 different lights, size, cooling fan, and sperate power cords this is of great value. The seperate cords allowed me to hook them up to 3 seprate cheap and simple timers on a cheap and simple power strip, so I now have full lighting control of what comes on/off when I want, 7 days a week all year long. Set it and forget it! I have it set to simulate sunrise, sunset and moon light. I couldnt see myslef spending over a grand for a light hood that had these eaxct features, but simply incorperated a timer/controller or purchase this or another light hood and then spending a couple hundred on a lighting contoller... I am assuming if you are reading this review you might not either. Honeslty, I would recommend this.

I've been using this fixture for about 6 months now and it has worked great, my corals are thriving. My only complaint is that the fan can be a little loud.

Good little light that sustained and grew all my softies. The color is not the most attractive, I found myself looking for more of a blue tint shortly after purchasing. When I was very bummed to find out that there isnt any aftermarket bulbs that will fit this unit. You are stuck with the 10k/actinic mixture it comes with. I wouldn't buy this if you are looking for that awesome blue color. It did look very good after adding some blue led stunners though.
