Very useful to sort out problem visitors
This smells so much nicer to humans. I think it's been a bad year for rats-we seem to have had quite a few in the garden. This does seem to have done the job. Fingers crossed!

Bit pricey but some good results.
I put a couple of these sachets in my workshop and noticed that the humane mousetrap had not been activated for the first time in a week. Alas, the little critters returned the following day and stole the bag. This could get expensive. I wonder if they have wised up in the same way that they seem to learn how to eat all the bait without tripping the traps. It seems that spiders and some other crawlies don't like peppermint so I got some strong peppermint oil, diluted it with water and sprayed it profusely in every nook and cranny. This seems to have done the trick and as a bonus, the space smells habitable for the first time in years.I also put a couple of sachets in the toolshed and the mice have left it alone. So I think these might be working. Time will tell. Not cheap but seem to work, at least they seem to work on the less devious mice in my area.

Costly for large areas
We have a family of rats that live around the garden and pay visits to the food dropped by the bird feeder - the joys of country living. Not wanting to kill them, I thought I'd give these pouches a go. Each pouch is quite large and as others have found they smell very strongly of peppermint. One box is not enough to cover everywhere, so I have restricted their use to the main "rat runs". I hadn't seen any sign of them for a few days but this morning caught a glimpse of the cheeky blighters. I'm not sure if they are just avoiding the areas with the pouches, or whether they are now used to the smell. I'll leave them a while and see what happens but the cost (£19.99 at the time of review) is prohibitive for large areas.

Good repellent
Very happy with this. Just set a few bags in the loft and there are no more squirrel's coming in there. I definitely recommend

Amazing what Peppermint Oil can do!
I’m sorry to admit that I recently tried to control the mouse and rat problem in my garden with poisoned bait blocks. I came to regret this decision when I came across a very small mouse on my lawn, in the daytime, running round in endless circles. It had lost all apparent survival instincts, unwary of predators, and even ignoring a crushed strawberry that I put directly in its path. When I realised that this was probably a result of my poor decision making (yep, I hadn’t thought through to the ‘killing’ part…) I was crushed, and decided never to use poison again.I’ve had a lot of problems with rodents both in my garden potting shed and my compost bins, where I’m very keen to recycle all my vegetable waste, which of course, attracts them as a food source. So I was very happy to commit to going down the repellent route. The Envolme Repellent Pouches arrived next day, in a 10 pack box. They’re very similar to large tea bags, and the concoction inside, which is all natural, has a pleasant, if pungent, smell. They’re made up of Peppermint Oil, Corn Cob and Pink Pepper in varying amounts.Knowing that I have a very active population of rodents in my shed, I decided to see if these bags would work by placing a small piece of cheese (!) next to one one of the bags. (I used two in opposite corners of the space). To be fair I hadn’t imagined that my canny strategy to prove their usefulness would pay off – but it did! Next day, cheese still there, next to the bag, in a delightfully perfumed shed. I did the same in one of my large compost bins, placing a bag on top of rodent yummies like carrot peelings and a half-eaten avocado, and similarly, the scraps hadn’t been touched.I’m interested to know how long the pouches remain potent. However, if you want to repel rat boarders without murder, then this seems to be a good way to do it.

Super strong smelling, but not bad.
I used this product amongst other rodent repellents and it seems to have worked! The little pesky critters have since retired from breaking into my dwelling and harassing my bins (thank god) This is a very powerful strong smelling bag, that’s easy to place in the places those little critters would wonder and since placing a few around my house, along with sprays and a sonic repeller, it seems to have finally worked. The bags themselves smell nice, so not a bad thing to have dotted around the house, but boy they are STRONG.

Repelled squirrels and mice from digging up my begonias
Something had been digging up my begonias on an almost daily basis for over a week. Too small to be caught by the security cameras. I suspected a rodent of some kind and I needed to deter it.Ten Envolme individually wrapped sachets arrive in each pack, in a kind of giant teabag. It contains peppermint and pepper - natural rodent deterrent). You simply take out of the pack and place in areas you want to deter the rodent activity. I used outside and placed strategically near the begonias (hiding it underneath the leaves so it doesn't look like litter has blown into my flowers). It's worked so far- my begonias are in tact, and I've successfully deterred squirrels and/or mice without resorting to poisoning or rat traps. I'm also reassured that it's not a poison so (hopefully) won't harm any other wildlife that come into contact with it. Directions for use suggest protecting from rain/water for longevity/effectiveness.
