180 GPH WATER PUMP
Excelente 👌 100%

Easy to Install.
The media could not be loaded. I was hoping I would get a stronger flow of water as I replaced a 90 GPH pump, but it still sounds the same. It's still an OK pump for my needs.

How to judge GPH water flow
The media could not be loaded. When buying pumps it is hard to know how many gallons per hour (GPH) your pump should pump to get the flow you want. My bear fountain has a 21 inch rise. Aquascape makes 75, 90, 180 and 320 GPH pumps. The max height is 2, 3, 4, and 5.5 feet rise. What you need is the table they have on their box, see photo, showing the max flow for each pump. In the case of the 180 GPH pump it is 180 GPH at 0 feet (straight through), 125 GPH at 2 feet, 95 GPH at 3ft and 0 GPH at 4.1 ft. So don't buy the pump if you have a 4 ft rise because you will get no water. Even having this table the question is how much of a bubble will you get for X amount of GPH. In my case I had a 21 inch height, the 180 GPH model, .5 inch tube going from the pump into a 1/4 inch tube through the fountain (bear) and running it full open I got about a 1 inch bubble as shown in the attached video. In other words get a bigger pump than you think you need and you can always slow the flow. Also they say not to run this pump dry. It makes a loud noise you can hear if you do run it dry.

Perfect for my fountain
Using this for a homemade fountain. Total lift is 28 inches into 3 wine bottles. I get a decent (little more than a trickle) amount of water from each of the three bottles. Expected a little more flow than that but, in the end, it's perfect for the fountain.

great fountain pump
I previously wrote a video game in this spot...sorry! This was my 3rd pump, and they have all performed beautifully! Definitely will buy another when needed. They last about 3 years.

Inconsistent
I bought this to go with Aquasape fountain and it has been inconsistent. Any time I unplug it to unclog the pump, it wouldn't work when I plugged it back in. I let it sit unplug overnight then it worked. Then one time my son unplug it to look for his turtle and when he went to plug it back in, it wouldn't start. I tried the same trick and it hasn't worked yet. It's a piece of junk as I didn't even have it for a month yet.

This is a workhorse.
I love this pump. It's lasted for years without maintenance including running dry for a 2 week period while on vacation (auto water refill from float valve was accidentally turned off). After that it kept on working without issue and up until 2 weeks ago when I physically accidentally damaged it pulling it out of a tight spot, it still works. I've since bought another and think I will be sticking with aquascape in the future for the best pump I've had.

Good for the price
Excellent flow rate, only drawback is the power cord is much shorter than the couple of lower powered pumps I've had
