ShanBenTang Incense Burner, Nanmu Incense Sticks Holder, Antique Style Ash Catcher

I got this to use with the Japanese incense I got, which has no core/stem, so wooden incense holders are not a good idea with them. Needless to say, I was taken aback at the craftsmanship on this incense holder once I opened the package; the attention to detail is excellent, and the wood looks very nice. I was a bit concerned that this holder wouldn't work given the other reviews I've seen, but I quite honestly don't know what they're talking about, having tried this myself. I've used this with the fan on and have had no problems getting the incense to stay lit. I think the problem is people simply not knowing how to use this product, so I'll explain very briefly; cut off the wooden end of the incense if it has one, light the other end of the incense until you see orange-red embers starting to appear, blow out the flame, then gently place the smoking incense flat onto the black cotton inside. Close the lid, then you're done. I've used this every day since I received it, and I love it. This is a well-earned five stars.
