UTG Hi-Profile Compact Riser Mount, 1" High, 3 Slots

I don't generally like getting 'cheap' stuff for my firearms just because "I gotta get that thing somehow even if it's not really as good as the real thing!". But a couple of years ago on a working college student budget I got myself a nice AR15 (still have it and I love it, doing my part I get 2 moa at 100yds with a 3 moa red dot and 1 moa with a 3x9 power scope) and I needed a taller mount for my Bushnell Trs-25 (I also highly recommend that red dot for the budget minded) so I could cowitness my iron sights. This mount fit the bill in criteria and has held up over the last 4 years. Is this the best on the market? Nah, not really. Is it a bad mount? Far from it.The nut on the side can kind of be your poor man's QD if you've got the hand strength. I wouldn't expect this to hold up with real heavy use, like military parachuting or the like.

Perfect riser mount for my bushnell trs25. It held zero on my ar15, easy to install, lightweight and price is right. (Just make sure to use a blue locktite for assurance on holding zero)

Seems very sturdy, and well made. But it won't work for me, and that's my fault.I bought this in order to 1/3 co-witness with a Bushnell TRS-25. On A Ruger AR-556 with factory flip up rear sight. It will not, it is to high. Maybe it will if you have the Mapul rear flip up. But the Ruger factory one is to short. I am positives that the .83in riser would be perfect on the Ruger.Read alot of the reviews. Most said this was the one i needed. And a few even mentioned the Ruger.Now I wonder if they even know what Co-witness is.But I will keep it. I'm sure I can find some other firearm to us it on.

Fairly priced riser, works perfectly for my needs. I have a Bushnell TRS-25 mounted to this riser on my 5.56 AR pistol. I needed something taller so it would clear the top of my forward flip up sight (Diamondhead polymer sights). I'm not sure if it's because my flip up sights are a little taller than other flip ups, or if mounting them on the rail makes them taller compared to a gas block front sight, but this taller riser worked well to clear my front sight while allowing for a lower 1/3 co-witness when both sights are in use. I wish UTG made this 1" mount with the QD option but unfortunately they don't.Using a hex key through the hole on the knob, I tightened the riser to my rail more than I could just by hand. I didn't go crazy so as not to strip or break anything, but it hasn't moved since I originally set it (with over 700 rounds through my AR pistol with this attached so far). Make sure before you tighten it down that the riser is fully forward on the rail (same goes for the optic on the riser). You could probably use blue loctite or something instead of torking down the knob, but I felt it wasn't necessary. If it comes loose then I may end up doing that.

The G3/MP5 Rail Mount UTG is not a Mil-Spec picatinny rail. ( I know?! What?! you're kidding a $10 mount that's not Mil-Spec...I'm shocked...insert sarcasm here :) A simple fix of cutting one piece of rubber from a 26" bike inner tube and placing it inside of the UTG Hi-Profile Compact Riser Mount, 1" High, 3 Slots will allow the mount to lock up tight to the rail.Cut a 2" piece of rubber out of the inner tube. Now cut your circle in half so the rubber inner tube piece lays flat. Now cut the inner tube piece to fit inside of the UTG mount. and attach the mount to the rail. I washed the finished piece of inner tube with DAWN dish soap to try and get rid of that strong rubber smell. Hope this helps everyone!!!

This unfortunately was made from substandard materials and stripped out with my expensive red dot, and my mp15 would not hold zero like normal, even boresighted several times, finally I realized this riser had stripped out and had the illusion of being tight but in reality every shot was bouncing the mount around, and anything hand tightened like this shouldnt have holes for tools to be inserted for more leverage, the hand tightened feature is kind of redundant as you can easily rip the threads out of a clamp like this with any mechanical advantage like an allen wrench

Works as indented and the easy to turn dial makes this simple to remove. I purchased both the medium and high profile riser as I was not sure which would let me co-withness with my optics when I placed the order. The medium ended up fitting the application for both a Vortex and Leopuld optics.I leave these mounted to the optics and will swap them out depending on the application. No issues with either optic being out of adjustment when putting back on the same spot on the rail. There are some nicer risers out there, but for wanting a quick change at a decent price these fit the need.

Received this today as a replacement for the riser that came with my TRS-25 red dot, and the retention and true alignment was so much better than the previous one. The reason I had to order this UTG was because the bolt of the previous riser had stripped out under tension, and so far the design of the UTG nut seems more ergonomic and robust. My Vortex 3X magnifier also lines up perfectly to my red dot now as opposed to previous set-up. I'm very happy with this.

Does the job at a price you cant beat. good for pistol caliber carbines and .22 ARS

dudes, a riser for less than 10 bucks, man oh man....this thing grabs on to the rail like glue. all I did was hand tighten...

great looking piece. ordered it on Saturday, received it on Monday, can't beat that. tightens down very tight, didn't seem to shift at all.

This is my second UTG installed on AR15 with very good results. Just use the blue lock tight and it will do the job.
