Way better than mechanical breaks
Definitely a huge improvement from the mechanical disk breaks i had. They are easier to pull than the mechanical breaks and feel both smoother and lighter to pull. They aren't that hard to install and youtube has some great tutorials on installing and servicing the breaks.Definitely buying another set for my significant others bike

Excellent Shimano hydraulic disc brakes provide strong braking and good modulation
I installed these Shimano hydraulic disc brakes on my bike and they provide smooth, strong and consistent braking; and unlike my cable operated disc brakes there is no cable to stretch so I won't have to be adjusting those cables every 150 miles like I had been.I tested these Shimano hydraulic brakes extensively in comparison to my old cable operated disc brakes and the Shimano brakes are strong but they are not overpowered. As an aside, I actually rode an e-scooter that had hydraulic brakes that were way too strong (which I didn't know was possible) and I ended up returning that scooter because those brakes were either on or off. These brakes however have good modulation and just feel like normal good brakes.Replacing my old calipers with these new calipers was rather easy and straightforward. All I had to do was (1) remove two screws to remove the bracket from the front fork that held the old caliper and then (2) remove the caliper from the bracket and then (3) screw the new Shimano caliper to the bracket and (4) screw the bracket (with the attached caliper) back to the front forks of the bike. (And repeat for rear).Note, I think it is worth mentioning that when I did this I took lots of photos as I went to make sure I put any screws and washers back in the exact same locations and arrangement with the new caliper as they were with the old caliper (there were not that many but still better to be sure to put them back in the right spots), and I would suggest anyone else who wants to do this to just do the same.It is also worth mentioning that the incorporated clamp for the brake levers for these bike brakes need to slide over the handlebars so you must remove any handlebar grips in order to install these. So the bottom line is that these Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are very high quality, provide strong and consistent braking, good modulation and are relatively easy to install.

Nice Brake set
"I purchased these brakes to replace my mountain bike brakes. The brakes came with everything I needed to install them and were perfectly sized to my bike.MT200 would be a nice upgrade on my bike. I have some very steep downhills on my usual ride, and wanted brakes that felt strong and stable and didn’t squeal. I’ve seen no issues with product quality. Installation was straightforward, and now my bike is great to ride again. If your not a professional downhill rider these are all you’ll ever need the work great and are good quality!"

A gigantic upgrade from my old cable driven brakes. Check fitment first.
WOW!! What a significant upgrade from my old cable-operated disc brakes! I have an old Jamis commuter bike that had Shimano brakes, but they were cable-operated. They were a pain to work on and required more frequent maintenance. I replaced them with these hydraulic brakes and the difference is night and day! The entire swap took about 1 hour. The new brakes feel buttery smooth and there's no squeal or whine from the cable anymore. Also, they came with brand new brake pads!If you're considering these, make sure to check the sizing first! I measured my current Shimano brake mount and knew it would fit, but I didn't measure the length of the old cable. These brake lines were about 2 inches shorter than my old cable, but luckily they still fit.

Great quality
These brakes are smooth, easy to install, and very powerful. They integrate perfectly with my mountain bike, enhancing both safety and overall performance. I'm so impressed with the quality and ease of use that I’ll definitely be purchasing these again in the future. If you're looking for top-notch brakes, look no further—these are a must-have! Highly recommended!
