I was searching for a 13 gallon plastic trash bin with no lid for our kitchen. Through having different kinds of fancy aluminum trash bins in the past and most recently to replace, this new, innovative bin has exceeded my expectations! It’s serving our large family with littles. Truly no air pockets, no trash bags (13 gal Kirkland Signature Flex Tech Kitchen Drawstring bags from Costco) falling, no rust, and no annoying lids. I can easily sanitize and reach in, if needed, which I haven’t had to do much since all the trash stays contained securely. Having no lid hasn’t been an issue with multiple littles. Worth every penny!

When an Amazon search led me to this weird-looking item, my first reaction was “A wastebasket with no sides — is this some kind of joke?” Honestly, it looks like something you’d find in Bizarro World, or maybe a 3D-printed version of a Zen koan about being and nothingness! But no, it’s actually a brilliantly simple solution to some annoying problems associated with conventional bathroom wastebaskets — like what size bag will fit, whether the rims will hold the bag in place, how much trash it will accommodate, and whether the full bag can be removed without a struggle. We use standard 13-gallon bags, and they fit perfectly; the slight tension between the two sections holds the bag securely around the rim, making it easy to insert and remove; and the empty v-shaped spaces on the sides allow the bag to expand, creating more usable volume. And it works! Why didn’t someone think of this unique, super-efficient design before? Great idea, great purchase!

I never thought I would love a trash can until now. This makes changing bags so easy.We usually put a lot of trash in the bag which makes it difficult to remove the bag from a traditional can. This makes life easier from removing the bags and placing new bags.

To be honest when it arrived it seemed so much shorter than our original plain tall kitchen trash can. The trash bags fit better and it holds the same amount of trash as our old one. No more struggling to get heavy trash out of the bin. The bags don't suction to the sides. I'm very pleased with the purchase!

I was a bit skeptical on how sturdy the inventive "modification" was going to be, compared to a traditional generic 13 gallon rubber/plastic bin... but I ordered it anyways as I thought it was a great simple idea to the real world issues of not utilizing every inch of the garbage bag (I may just be a cheapo not wanting to use too many garbage bags if I don't have to lol). The idea of not having to jerk the garbage can more than 3 times to pull it out made sense too (because having to jerk it more than 3 times then you're just messing around right?). I figured if it was some cheapo material, it may still be worth the cheap enough investment.When it arrived, I was very surprised how sturdy the plastic material was. The "V" opening was very well designed too, stable and sturdy. There's enough flex to strap a 13 gal. garbage bag around the rim while being super secure (I'm using the Sams club garbage bags with the orange draw string).I've had it a few weeks now and am very happy with this purchase and the product. It really is simple, once it's full, tie the drawstring, pull from the waste-eze and toss it in the bigger weekly bin. Only "problem" I can maybe see, and it isn't due to this actual product, but it you use cheap thin garbage bags, maybe sharp objects can puncture through the "v" opening. I haven't ran into that issue though, although I've noticed a few times where disposable forks and sharp cardboard boxes were kinda pressed along the "v" opening, no stress on the garbage bag that I noticed. Overall, I would happily buy again and would recommend.

Really got the for a slide out under the bar in our kitchen. Not perfect fit so had to modify holder & love it.

The design makes installing and removing trash bags really easy. It also creates nice tension to hold the bag in place when its installed without tying anything. Highly recommended.

So simple yet such a genius invention! I was just looking for a trash can to fit in my island (that happens to be an odd size) and luckily stumbled across this gem. Now no more fighting the air pockets and it also let’s the bag expand a little more as it’s not so constricted by the shape of a regular trash can. And it fits regular 13 gallon trash bags. Definitely recommend this!
