The size is nice... big, but not overwhelming... big enough to hold a lot, small enough to fit in a cabinet, and pretty enough to put on your table. The only reasonI did not give this five stars is that even though it's turned to the finest grind, the pepper does not get a fine grind. (The salt grinds very nicely.) If you can get used to little chunks of pepper in your food, I recommend these. (And keep mind that it could be a fluke that mine doesn't happen to grind finely.)

I previously had a pepper grinder that ground from the bottom....so every time I used it, it would leave a big mess in the cabinet or on the counter. These grinders grind from the top, so you turn them upside down to grind and use making them far less messy than traditional pepper grinders. I like nice big cracks of pepper, which it easily grinds! But it will also grind very fine if that's what you like. I would highly recommend. They are going to be easy to clean too, being glass...

I like these salt and pepper grinders, they are certainly a step up from what I was using before, which were those jars of salt and pepper you buy in the grocery store that have a disposable grinder built into the top. If you're looking to upgrade from that, this is great. They are a little heavy and bulky for me (I specifically bought the smaller rather than larger ones but they're still a little too much for my taste), and they tend to grind too fine, even if you set it on the more coarse setting. Overall, these are not dealbreakers, only something to keep in mind if you're choosing between different styles.

Loved these from the start. They work as intended, are comfortable in the hand and look pretty on display. I purchased these in May of 2019 and have had no issues. Until today. I wanted to take them apart to give them a good cleaning. Pepper mill disassembled with ease but the salt mill not so much. After fighting with it for 20 minutes to unscrew the mechanism I realized that the metal spring has completely rusted and seized. I can not take it apart and I sure don't want to continue using it with a rusted mechanism. I can only assume the salt caused the rust as I'd never had them in or near water and always replaced the caps after use. I'll toss the mill and go with a salt cellar.

These are nice, contemporary design, salt and pepper shakers. Very nice for the money. I also like the fact that they are not marked "salt" or "pepper" so you could, if you wanted, use both for the same thing. I was a bit surprised by the size as the photos made me feel they would be smaller. But, the seller was very clear about this with dimensions clearly shown in one photo so I should have paid more attention. In the end, I like the generous size as they hold a good amount of salt/pepper and the large top gives you some leverage when turning the very smooth mechanism.I like them.

I ordered these salt and pepper grinders. I'm not sure if it came missing one part, or if I lost the very small washer. I emailed Blacksail asking about getting a replacement part. They responded in just a few hours, and the result is that here I am, 6 days after contacting them, with a full order replacement. And the grinders work just fine. I'd say the customer service is amazing, and I wish them well in their business.

I was very surprised when I received these grinders, as I thought they would be much smaller and cheaper looking. I love grating different types of salt and herbs and I was looking for something to use for this purpose. I currently have two other graters, but needed more for my "salt collection". When I open the package, I was pleasantly surprised by how much larger and more attractive these grinders were compared with what I have. Definitely attractive enough to bring to a guest table. The stainless steel is brushed; and, the size of the units was a plus, as was the little brush for cleaning. Really glad I purchased these.

I’ve been looking for salt and pepper grinders for a while. These are great — easy to fill and great for sea salt or Himalayan salt and whole black pepper. I like that I can use them while cooking and at the dinner table. I’ve only had them for a short while and the grinder works really well. I actually had to dial back on the salt once I started using them. My previous grinder was far less efficient. Needless to say the old one is going in the garbage (recycle) bin. The lid is great too, but it’s a little flimsy so I only gave the product 4 stars. Summary: I like the product. Good buy.
