Q: Can I buy a warranty? What is the warranty against damages and defects?

I'm going through it now, in my case it had lots of rust on it, pedal looked chopped up some. It was in terrible shape. Amazon couldn't do anything for me because it was a third party company. I contacted them and still in the process. They gave me the options of a 50%refund or a replacement. I went for the replacement and I'm waiting on it now to come in.

Q: I deal in an extremely rare dense clay. My pieces often reach 12-15 lbs of material. Can this product still spin it?

I can’t certify for that weight, but I have used mine to throw, seal and center up to 10lbs without an issue. The only real issue I have found is locking the splash pan in place.

Q: Can anyone give me a review on this item?

I am returning this wheel that was a gift for my daughter. It came dusty with what appears to be clay dust, scratches in the basin and some unknown stain that had dripped down a leg of the machine. I think this one was a return or possibly a refurb that never made it to the shop. For the price we paid, it should have been never looked like this, but looked squeaky clean and shiny and new. Very disappointed.
