Monster Clarinet Care and Cleaning Kit | Wood or Composite, Cork Grease, and More! Everything You Need to Take Care of Your Clarinet

As a professional clarinetist, woodwind technician, and clarinet teacher of all levels, I can honestly say that this is the best instrument maintenance kit I’ve found. All of the items included are practical and useful, and Monster Oil has omitted some of the potentially damaging items often included in many other mass-market kits (small, sticky felt swab, coarse bristled mouthpiece brush that quickly scratches and ruins the baffle and chamber of the mouthpiece, and petroleum-based woodwind bore oil—which, if used at all, should be left to a professional). Instead, I’ve found a larger, tapered swab made of more absorbent material that is less likely to stick on the register tube, pad papers for sticky pads (something I’ve never seen in a kit before), a laminated card with simple care instructions accessible for young players, cork grease, a nice micro fiber cleaning cloth, and a bag to keep it all in (also not something I’ve seen much of). The laminated fingering chart and pencil are a nice touch too.All-in-all, Kudos to Monster Oil for introducing a cleaning kit that is teacher-friendly, practical, and useful for the student!

While this was most likely intended for an elementary or middle school musician, this fifty-something LOVES this kit! The kit contains seriously important care items whimsically packaged. The plastic zip top case is a nice touch to keep everything together and fits nicely in a case with an outside pocket. The cleaning schedule is a nice reminder to care for your instrument. Highly recommend this kit to young and older clarinetists.

I only wish this came with a brush to clean under keys. Everything else is good quality.

I really like the Monster Clarinet Care and Cleaning Kit. Why? The swab really gets the moisture out well compared to ones my son had used for his clarinet. The paper for moisture collection for under the keys is great--that was something that was hard to find for my daughter's flute maintenance and the thumb rest pad was a great bonus. That along with the cork grease and microfiber wipe-down cloth and fingering chart made for a very nice package.

I work in rural and remote areas and appreciated the well-chosen variety of items packed neatly in the reusable/storage pouch. I can't think of anything else I would include at this point. I especially like the tissue sheets that were included. I feel that I had good value for the price. The cute monster head on the cork grease made me smile.

A very nice kit with everything I need for band-- plus quirky instructions that are entertaining to read. Win, win!

The contents of the kit may be suitable for students. I purchased the kit as a gift for a semi-professional musician who wasn't too impressed.
