VitaSpelt Organic Spaghetti Whole Grain Spelt Pasta, 10-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 12)

Spelt is great. You feel good after eating it. This doesn't cause a major rush of insulin followed by a sleepy crash like white pasta. It s organic, and some people allergic to wheat, have no issues with spelt (which I think is wheat before it was genetically modified a zillion years ago) . I'm not allergic to wheat, just like the product and the taste is wonderful. I buy it by the case because it is hard to find locally and really expensive when you do find it.

Not crazy about the taste of this pasta. It taste a lot different from the pasta that I buy from the market or health food store. I usually buy this same brand. However, the pasta that I buy says it's unbromated. Is this pasta bromated or unbromated? Maybe that's why the taste of this pasta is off.

I've purchased two cases of this pasta and given some away for others to try because I like it so much. We were using whole wheat pasta but the taste of whole wheat overpowers the other flavors in the dish and my kids would complain that they don't like it. The taste of this pasta is much milder and it's much healthier than refined white flour pasta. An individual box makes enough to feed my family of four with enough leftover for a lunch the next day. It only takes 4-5 minutes to cook, too. A good product worth the price.

I didn't like the taste of this pasta at all. I was hoping for something that would be closer to the taste of regular pasta, but this pasta wasn't even close.

This tastes better that whole wheat spagetti!In fact I can't tell it's whole grain.I used to dislike the taste of whole wheat sgetti and we used to add some white ones to the pot but now Vita Spelt Whole grain is all we buy.As far as I know it has a lower glycemic index too and is better digested.Good food.Amazon gives a great deal too($10 off every $50)

This stuff is so healthy for you and by the case you find that you'll have pasta in the house for ages. I made hot and cold pasta with it, but you need to figure out the proper cooking time per use. I also suggest adding a bit of olive oil and mixing right after you drain to keep it from sticking together. It sticks quicker then other pastas.

Spelt makes a far more enjoyable "whole wheat" option for pasta than the usual alternatives to regular pasta. There is a distinctive flavor to it, but I think it's a really good flavor. Instead of "tolerating" whole wheat pasta, I'm actually enjoying it.
