I think the price is a bit high but we’ve just started using. Upon advice from reviewers from other “chalkers” I used regular cheap flour. Worked fine. I did a small badminton area and used just under two pounds of flour. There isn’t a stopper but after I dumper flour into hopper and carried to side yard flour really didn’t fall into the grass. First time I used my grass was tall and the spinner thing snagged some grass but didn’t stop working. This is low to the ground so if you’re Tall sorry. Small enough to toss into car and take to park or events. My grass isn’t all Nice grass and ground is uneven so my stripes don’t look like a nice baseball field stripes but the kids think it’s great to have actual boundaries and keeps the “in or out” arguments to a bare minimum. I finished the badminton area in less than a minute.

We tried to put down a volleyball court using this device and failed! Without a moveable door to shut off the chalk dust you get an immediate pile of chalk on the ground. This loss of chalk limits the line distance to perhaps 10 feet, with only a faint line as a result. The idea behind this seems good, but without the trap door it is junk!

When you fill the hopper the chalk pours out the bottom of it and it is awkward to use bins that it's only about 3 ft tall. I would not recommend this product

Works fine. Didnt like that there isnt a shutoff to stop the chalk once finished chalking

Nice price, gets the job done

Works way better than the more expensive one.
