STAY AWAY FROM AECOJOY AND UNIONLINE
So, I purchased the 14X12 shed. The shed arrived in 3 boxes as expected. I was excited to get started on it. I started pre-reading the instructions and immediately noticed:a. The instructions were written by someone with little command of English and grammar.b. There are ZERO written instructions to guide you, only pictures.c. ZERO info on the orientation of the parts that are pre-drilled with pilot holes, specifically the roof panels.d. Zero notes and 'watch out for' notes on assembly. The roof top frame assembly pieces are made of nearly paper-thin metal. Once mounted, they are easily bent. And these pieces are meant to support the roof beams via brackets mounted to them. After assembling the roof beam supports and mounting them, I noticed the forecast had changed to include rain. I put a tarp over the shed to try to keep it dry so I could continue to work after it dried.Instead, we ended up with a monsoon and bad storm. The tarp gathered up water in between the roof beam supports and overloaded them, causing two of the 3 roof support beams to buckle and collapse in the middle. The end pieces of the beams appear to have escaped damage. The Roof top frame pieces collapsed across as well. It was all laying nearly flat across the wall frame. The fun begins when I contacted the seller, Unionline Inc. in Cal (the apparent Distributor for AECOJOY products) to report the problem. Over the entire week, we passed messages back and forth since it took 24 hrs to hear back from them. And responses came in the middle of the night here in north Texas. This was extremely frustrating. I sent a multitude of pictures along with my notes to them. I thoroughly expected to have to pay for the replacement pieces I asked about, with included the room top frame assembly pieces as well as the roof support beam pieces. The first response back from them was to confirm what pieces I needed. I confirmed that. The next message was to tell me that the "Product Engineers" said only one beam was damaged and told me to "gently hammer out the metal pieces with a rubber mallet". Now, if I recall correctly, pre-formed metal pieces, especially thin ones, lose their structural integrity after they get bent up and "hammered back in place", which makes them unsafe. I was highly disappointed that an "Engineer" would say that. They had no intention to replace any of the parts. I responded back spelling out that I was ready to purchase the parts but they ignored that. They also said the "Engineers" told me to hammer out the buckled and bent up roof support beam pieces and use them. They also decided to hide behind the tariffs saying that because of them production was shut down and would take a lot of time to re-source the materials (that was a complete load of crap) and then they tell me to hammer out the beams and re-use. The final insult was for this person (Yanni) to offer me a paltry, intelligence insulting "refund" of $50 (after spending $700 on the kit) thinking I would take that and shut up.The point here is that Unionline customer service was ridiculous, incompetent and argumentative with me through the whole event, with ZERO intention of taking care of their customer, especially when the customer is expecting to pay for the parts. What could possibly be a problem with them selling me the parts I needed? If their people have shut down production because of tariffs, then Amazon needs to stop letting them sell products here.Needless to say I feel like I have been blown off by these clowns, and they have no intention of taking care of the customer. I am considering complaining to the BBB and AG office in Cali about this.I decided, in the interests of getting this shed completed before the weather turns bad again to try to hammer out the bucked roof support pieces and reassemble. They were ugly, and nothing lined up like it needed to (as expected). Putting on the roof panels required a lot of twisting, showing walls back and forth to get the panels to line up with the holes enough to get them put on. Somehow I managed to just get the screws through the pilot holes. The roof rain guard pieces do not line up properly now and I am currently fighting with that. Ass to that the stupidity of expecting flat angle pieces to block water from draining off the corrugated roof panels into the shed walls. This becomes immediately apparent when you look at the cross section of the roof panels and picture that flat angle. I will have to figure out something to add there to deflect water past the walls. Also, there were no pre-drilled holes there. I did noticed well after the face that the pictures showed tiny black dots indicating pilot holes for screws where those pieces would mount, but again, ZERO notes or guidance. Pathetic.I question the manufacturer's Engineering qualifications, and I highly doubt the quality of their assembly guides. There are significant flaws in this design. The Assembly guide is garbage. It's by the grace of God ALONE that I was able to get the shed finished. Now I will be applying a lot of sealants around the base of the shed as well as the roof line to try to keep water out of the inside. If you know what's good for you, RUN AWAY SCREAMING from AECOJOY products and ANYTHING sold by Unionline on Amazon. They are about as fly by night as it gets, and Amazon should be ASHAMED to be associated with these clowns. I have pics and videos on my cell phone but had trouble uploading. I will try once more.
