Q: Is this model open hole or closed hole?

All of the Eastar Piccolos are closed hole.

Q: Is it possible to get a replacement end piece?

I actually thought that there should be 3 pieces (they sent a inventory diagram of a regular flute with my piccolo - yes I’m a beginner lol) the good thing was that when I called them they sent me a new piccolo and I had to send the old one back within 30 or so days. Not sure how long you have had yours but calling them should fix things for you if possible.

Q: Is it silver plated? The description says nickel plated, while it says silver plated in the features. Which is it? Is the lip plate silver plated?

I believe, partly based on price, that the piccolo is nickel silver keys but silver plated surfaces. It could not be solid silver keys, that would cost much more. The look of the surface is like other flutes and piccolos I have seen that are listed as silver plated.

Q: What number do I call for instrument maintenance? A spring came a loose.

I've had my spring lose from my other flute never for a piccolo, but I figure it's similiar. You can just get something like a screwdriver or some sort that is thin enough to gently and carefully pop the spring right back.
