Cool looking? Yes, Accurate? No.
Papo is one of the best Dino toy manufacturers out there, with stunning detail and amazing aesthetics, and this toy is no exception, in this review I'll be breaking it down into 2 parts, as an accurate collectible and as a toy.Toy: Absolutely fantastic, the detail and sculpt on the toy is incredible and the movable joy adds to playability, the claws are large and look dangerous but won't hurt someone, the feet are big enough to hold itself up and the aesthetic touches are great, the teeth look great and won't hurt a little kid and the toy is sturdy enough to not break unless it's thrown across a room, as I found out, and is not hollow, yet is still light enough to be easily held by a child. Although the jaw is good at first it becomes loose if moved too much.Collectible: It's okay, scientific accuracy isn't something normally expected from Papo, but due to evidence from 2014 this is a whole different level of inaccurate-ness. Spinosaurus's arms are too long and it's head had 1 crest, not 2 and the skull is the wrong shape, the teeth are curved like other dinosaurs, but Spino had conical teeth, to catch slippery fish, as that was it's main source of food, the Sail is the wrong shape and too small and the neck is too short and thick, and lastly, Spinosaurus actually walked on 4 legs, kind of like a gorilla, as it was front heavy and it's legs are far too long in this figure, that said the detail and sculpt are still so good it's hard to pass up even if you're looking for accuracy. In short, this figure is more like the JP 3 Spino than the real deal, it's more monster like and is too muscular, like the JP 3 one. That said, it does scale well with the T. rex as it was slightly longer but T. rex was much more muscular, which is represented quite nicely. Conclusion: If you're looking for a realistic collectible you might want to pass if the detail isn't going to make you buy it, if you just want a figure that looks cool than by all means buy it, it's definitely worth it.

Beautiful
It's a beautiful looking model of my favourite dinosaur, a lot more realistic than the one I had as a kid. I love how the mouth can open and close. My only issues, which are small, are that the top of the spine on one part looks as though the paint has worn away, and its one foot is a bit wonky, so it only stands on a claw rather than the foot. It does stand though so I can overlook that. Overall it's awesome, but for the price I would've preferred it to be perfect.

Spinosaurus review
This Papo Spinosaurus is a extremely detailed model. If you LOVE Jurassic Park and dinosaurs for display, this is for you! I was amazed when I got this by the amount of detail is...ASTOUNDING!!! Its beautiful! Anyways, when I got it though, his toe was broken off, but is very easy to reattach with superglue and when glued on, you never notice it again. So not much of a problem. It has a very good fighting pose too. I highly recommend that you buy it! WORTH IT! This was exactly, or more than what I expected! I love it.

an awesome figure
This is terrific model of a Spinosaurus dinosaur. It looks truly fantastic, and is perfect for display. The figure is well-made, with a sturdy design, and stands approx. 6" tall and is about 10" long. The paintwork is excellent. It's amazing how much care and attention has gone into making this figure. It could be used as a child's toy, but there are more reasonably priced (and less detailed) versions to suit that purpose.I've attached a couple of photos to show the detail of this item. I fully recommend it!

Lovely piece
These are great models, I bought the T Rex for one son, 6 yrs, and the Spinosaurus for the other, 4yrs, and they both adore them. They're robust, well detailed and they stand well. They don't do much - their jaws move and that's just enough to make them a model that kids will delight in and make games from

Perfect for my 3 year old dinosaur mad fan!
The Spinosaurus is one of the only dinosaurs my son didn't have so we bought this one (it was on offer for £16.40) to complete his collection. Fantastic purchase, it is extremely lifelike, the markings and attention to detail are brilliant. He is robust and sturdy and perfect for my 3 year old's hands! His mouth opens too which is additional detail he loves. Brilliant buy.
