Good if you often travel light; Bad for pack rats
I was shopping for a new backpack for school, and really liked this one. When I was shopping for this, I read the reviews saying this was too small, and I was worried. When I got it, and I compared it to my old backpack (the rather standard Jansport we all know and love), it was in fact smaller, but only slightly, and I consider it negligible. If you can get by with the stock-option Jansport pack, you'll be fine. While I use this for school, I think the main target of this pack (considering the company is Oakley) is for people who are going to events or out-and-about or on the move in town. This is a great pack for going to the beach, a concert, an event of some kind, an amusement park, an airshow, etc and you just want to carry some things like a hoodie, shirt, water bottle, or whatever... that kind of thing. That's who this pack is for.I use it for school, but it works for me, because I go light in terms of my EDC for school. I made the upgrade to go digital with textbooks, notes, school, apps, calendars, etc (highly recommended, but that's for another review) all on my tablet, so this is a list of what I carry everyday: 10" Tablet w/ cover, bluetooth headphones, (1) 1" binder, (1) spiral notebook, (2) very full folders in the main pouch. I use the upper "Oakley" pouch as a pencil pouch, so I have a few pencils, pens, highlighters, sharpener, and eraser (maybe I'll toss in sunglasses or something similar), and in the lower pouch I carry (2) calculators and a chargers/cables. It's enough to get through every single day. It's perfect and I love it!If you pack similarly for school, you'll be fine. If you're that nerd that needs to carry around half your room and 4 textbooks this is not your backpack.I like this over the Jansport because the straps and back have pads, and the material is much nicer quality.I love this item. Would buy again.UPDATE: After a semester and a half of college, my opinion stands. Perfect for what I carry. Only complaint would be a better place for a water bottle. I just clip it to the straps. Material and stitching is quality. I included pictures along with my school EDC to help you gauge what you can stuff in it. I don't think it would be ideal for much more than this in terms of school. Outside school, this rocks for carrying your miscellaneous items. Yes, it's small, but that also means it isn't overly big and bulky, so you forget you have it on. It's very light, comfortable, and nonexistent, which I think is the point of the design. For photo comparison I'm 5'9 155-160.

Nice looking backpack
The navy backpack has a classic look. The quality is average. It’s lightweight, not heavy duty. It’s on the small size, but good size to carry around town. I like the 2 outside pockets, but I wish there was an interior pocket for valuables and water bottle holder. I got it on sale but would not have purchased it for full price.

Small but great!
Smaller than it thought it would be! Forces me to not store unnecessary items in my bag and stays organized.

Best light weight bag for EDC!
This is one durable backpack for everyday use. Oakley in my personal opinion makes some of the best bags for traveling. I work all across the globe and will only trust the Oakley backpacks to hold my personal belongings. This bag goes everywhere with me. You can’t go wrong with this pack!
