Better Than Most Other Designs But Still Flawed.
I am still trying to find a decent bread slicer design. This one is better than most others that I have tried but the clear Acrylic end stop is too thin and flimsy and the wire guides flop about too much so cutting an even thickness of bread requires a lot of concentration.

WORKS
This works well when you have a sharp knife. I leave the bread to get cold for over an hour before cutting.I can now cut the bread as thick or as thin as I want it to be. You do need to hold the top of the bread to keep it still and stop it moving. This wholemeal loaf was a large size according to my Panasonic bread maker. I would recommend this one highly, I am very pleased. It also looks nice and is very good quality.

Fine
It's okay, better than nothing. Tricky to make sure you're using the corresponding prong on the opposite side. The crumbs unsurprisingly still go everywhere. These points are likely true of any product like this that I've seen.Better than not using anything

Good kitchen aid
I use it for home made bread, tin style. Easy to use, better for medium to thick slices as thin are so thin they fall apart. Easy to keep clean. Only issue I find is that when cutting the knife cannot go through the bottom of the bread properly as all the slices are compacted together on the wooden base but that is easy to remedy.

A decent one.
I'm really pleased with this bread slicer. It cuts much more uniform slices than my past two plastic ones. You get what you pay for and this one proves that. It's much more solid in structure yet you can dissemble it easily for it to lie neatly flat. It's also quite stylish for a bread slicer. The stainless steel grids are well supported by the wooden base. One thing I would say though is it's just wide enough for my Panasonic medium loaf so be aware of that. Thumbs up for me though.

Not bad
It’s ok, but spacing of metal rods means slices are very thin, or pretty thick. Rods also move towards each other if you apply too much pressure trying to hold your knife steady on the downward slice. Still looking for a really good one!
