Easy to use and makes amazing drinks !!
Absolutely love this .. really easy to use..makes the best drinks..kids love it..people who say the sugar content is high, it can be yes but just use what ninja recommendeds as a substitute in their booklet !!! It works amazingly... So far every drink I've made has turned out perfectly.. I do recommend the slushie syrup on Amazon too the big 5 litre ones as they work great.. overall very impressed...

Great but requires a lot of sugar, and generates a whole lot of heat!
I have always wanted a real slush machine since being a kid! the hypnotic swirly blades, and chaotic fluid motions, mixed with flavours straight out of a Wonka movie! The cheapest I have seen was at least £700 and require special chemicals and syrups! I was amazed when this product was unveiled to the world! As soon as Amazon had it I had to try it!So far its NOT slush! I presume that is down to the lack of special chemicals! However it is a safe (unless you have a sugar problem) alternative! For me slush is a sort of large blob of ice, and a bit of juice, like rice pudding but with rice is ice and the cream is juice! This is more like shaved flavoured ice! So no liquid juice, just frozen juice. It still falls into the parameters of slush!Simplicity! Buy any 2 litre bottle of pop, pour it in turn it on and press slush and of it goes! The problem is sugar! Eg, Lidls Freeway Cola used to be 22g of sugar and its now 11g. So it needs around 3 heaped tablespoons of sugar to slush!!The five stars is due to Aldi selling Grape and Raspberry pop! As a child of the 70's walking up Scarborough sea front with a Draculars blood slushy this is almost identical! However it requires 8-10 heaped table spoons of sugar to slush! ACE! lolSo its great! your roasting hot, and need a slush! This machine is awesome! But it generates heat and a lot of it! (yes im aware of thermal dynamics, but was not aware how 2 machine in close proximity would mean you need more slush, hence im stuck in a "i'm hot and need slush, slush generation makes me need more slush!") loop!Food colours! (or color - if your a coder) So anything yellowish will stain the vessel! Orange colours are a nightmare in this device and will stain certain parts! (an eggcup full of bleach for around 30 mins will lessen the blow! but be sure to rinse very well!)So 5* from me with Dracular blood pop from aldi with 10 heaped spoons of sugar.....

Great quality product well worth buying hopefully there’s a price drop.
Excellent product great slushy maker it’s a fair amount of money but if you are going to use it regularly better than crushing ice with a cheapie. Makes 1.9l of slush or cocktails. Be warned mixture requires sugar to go to an icy mixture or an additive fully covered in the instructions and recipe book supplied. I bought a couple of “Slushy” syrups and realised they were sugar free so had to alter the recipe otherwise you end up with a super chilled liquid but not a slushy! Some liquids can stain the plastic container would have been nice in glass but not sure I could afford the price increase to have that option.

Great frozen drinks
Easy to set up and to clean afterwards. Frozen drinks don’t take too long to prepare and have all been very popular so far. I have also bought the recommended sweetener in the recipes to allow me to use sugar free drinks, and that works well.

Disappointing Experience Despite High Hopes
I had high hopes for the Ninja Slushie Machine, but the experience has been underwhelming from the start. Things began on the wrong foot when Amazon initially sent what appeared to be a pre-owned unit. They acknowledged this was a mistake on their end, but it still raised questions — especially about how many people might be returning this product.Once I finally received a proper unit and got to test it, I found that the machine takes a significantly long time to deliver results. Even when using the dedicated Slushies setting, it was close to an hour before the drink reached a usable consistency. There’s also a major caveat that’s not well advertised: you must dilute many drinks with water, and alcoholic content must be kept low (as specified in the instructions). This really limits what you can make, and I think Ninja should have made this more obvious in their marketing or product description.I tried multiple recipes, including strawberry daiquiris and margaritas , and while the texture eventually came out okay, the wait and restrictions made the whole experience more frustrating than fun.Overall, the machine can work, but it’s far from plug-and-play, and there are quite a few limitations that aren’t clearly communicated up front.

Need high sugar to slush
I wish I could give 5 stars. Great machine when it slushes, but what they don’t tell you is your drink has to be over 5% of sugar, as the machine has a sensor and won’t slush if it doesn’t have enough sugar. You have to add either sugar or sweetener which then makes your drink too sweet. Also in the UK everything seems to be zero sugar. However, it does slush WKD which is lovely. I will now try Funkin cocktail mixers and just add alcohol and hopefully that will work!!
