Room Doctor Mission Futon Twin Lounger w/ 9" Premium Futon Mattress

When I read the reviews of this, and other futons from the same manufacturer, I felt a little worried that perhaps this item was beyond my DIY skills. They told of trauma and troubles, difficulties that defeated some and complaints about the fact it came in boxes, not assembled.However, when the delivery truck from FedEx arrived at 11:08 this morning, I eagerly opened the two strong boxes and looked at the already assembled parts within. That was definitely a plus, I thought. Forty minutes later, we were sat on the futon lounger, enjoying a glass of juice, and wondering why anyone would assume it was difficult. I admit that I have purchased things from other stores that needed assembly that have completely defeated me, but this futon came with very adequate instructions that were easily followed. Literally the hardest thing to do was remove the polythene from the futon mattress - that took about seven minutes. One hole was in the wrong place, that took a few seconds to rectify with a drill. Everything else was very easy - by far the easiest home assembly I have ever had.It comes without a futon cover, so we need to get one, but a throw over it makes it look good. Getting on is a tad less than easy, as is getting up again, but practice will make perfect. Comfort wise it is superb. No pressure in odd places, no aches from the angle, no stiffness from the positions - I could, and probably will sleep on this occasionally - my wife and I sit with room to spare, on the thirty nine inches of mattress. I do not know if it would be comfortable to sleep together all night, as it is only a single person bed, but it would be fun trying. All in all a good purchase that looks good, is made well, and feels solid.

The item arrived very quickly. The futon itself is as it is described. My husband assembled it in about 30 minutes. There was one hole that was not aligned, but he made it work. It is VERY large, and with the mattress in place, it looks even larger and takes up more space than I had anticipated. The mattress is another story. The inside is stuffed with bits and pieces of the foam and whatever else. Think what a mouse nest would look like. I wish I had just ordered the frame and bought a mattress from a local store so that I could have inspected it before I bought it. With that being said, it is in my son's room, and he seems to like it.

The futon chair more than met my expectation. The Customer Service was in credible. I had.aquestion about the delivery and it was handled so quickly and professionally. My son (an adult)put the frame together in about fourth minutes, with puppy and grandsons' help. It is it hinderance?It is very sturdy. The frame comes unfinished and is of light pine. It can be stained or painted.It comes semi together as the larger portions are preassembled. It is a full size twin bed, thereforeIt is large enough for my six foot three son. The mattress is comfortable and thick. But, one of the bestattributes it is Made in America.

Just received this chair. It took the 2 of us less than an hour to put together. It's much bigger than I thought it would be (would comfortably sleep a guest, which is the reason for the purchase). The cushion is also much, much thicker than pictured. The cushion is so thick it actually comes almost to the level of the arms on the chair. I couldn't feel the slats at all, even after sitting in this chair for an extended time. I would gladly sleep on this bed any night, and am happy I bought it.

Futon is WONDERFUL, however, it would help to have someone handy at putting things together, as some of the holes on the frame didn't match up too well, and a couple of the slats had come loose in shipping.

Delivery was prompt. Assembly was quite easy. The quality of the wood chair is good. The only problem I'm having is that I use it primarily as a lounger/chair and the mattress tends to slide down so that I have to adjust it frequently and it is quite heavy.

I was surprised at how big the chair is, two people can easily fit in it. It was easy to put together and the tool was supplied. I am extremely happy with my choice. I had one minor problem with a screw but the company was understanding and I received the replacement with in a week.

Wow, it really works well. I stained mine. I was worried about buying something so big and what a hassel if it were to turn out to be a return. It turned out to be a winner. Easy to put together with instructions. Love this product.
