Octonauts and the Colossal Squid Paperback – September 11, 2014

I had no idea the Octonauts were so educational. I read this to my son and learned a ton myself. Example: Colossal squids actually have really sharp hooks on their tentacles. The book is a fun one, the story has a good lesson, and all of the ocean creature facts are really great. I originally bought this for my 6 year old to read, but the words are not easy ones in this book so I read it to him instead. The pictures in the book are very bright and detailed, and he really thought it was a great story.

These books are paperback and basically recreate actual episodes of Octonauts. This is perfect if you have a kid that is obsessed with said Octonauts and you don't necessarily want them watching TV nonstop. If you kid is a major fan of one of the featured creatures, such as the Colossal Squid, I would definitely recommend getting them the book version of the episode and then maybe an Octonaut character and a toy of the creature. It gives my son a lot of fuel for his imaginative play which is pretty cool. He rereads this all the time and then plays with his toys acting it out.

my 4 year old is currently in love with octonaut's so I picked him up this one and a couple others. the books are great because they read similar to the show and have small "facts" a's you read. I wouldn't recommend them for anything under 3 as they are a little bit longer than many other books that we have.

The book is used so I expected it to be worn but I had to glue a few pages back in so I was disappointed with that

We love octonauts here but my small complaint is these books are very dark in color, and the text is dark too, so if you read these in dimmish lightbefore bed, you actually can't read the text the text should be in a light area designated for text or at least a white font

My 4 yr old son is a huge Octonauts fan. He absolutely loves this book. The story is the same as the episode which is a big deal. He can quote many lines. The book itself is very nice quality, but we must keep it away from our 2 yr old to avoid tears. I would recommend this book!

Love the Octonauts! This is a great book. The book is just like the cartoon episode. It teaches you about the coloseal squid with characters young kids enjoy. If you have never seen the cartoon, it is still a good book. Colorfulillustrations and just the right length.

My son and I are fans from the TV series and the book is one of his favorites. I try to imitate character voices, we make some noise on the part they assemble the Octonauts, so it is always a lot of fun.For those who don't know about this TV series, they are ocean explorers that help the creatures whenever they can. They have high moral standards and always interesting information about real ocean creatures. And the stories are interesting and full of adventure. No violence.Unfortunately the book is not very sturdy. After 10 readings or so, it unglued a few pages. We just used some adhesive tape, and we continued to read some more.

Nice book, much loved by my octonauts mad son. Of of the more exciting octonauts books, based upon one of the tv episodes, in which inkling gets a staring role. Only wish there were more octonauts books so I didn't have to keep reading the same stories again and again! The paper quality isn't the highest but is more than acceptable for the bargain price of this book.

The book is great- however it was a gift for my grandsons birthday but it arrived 2 weeks late. Took over 3 weeks in total.

Great book for an Octonauts fan. Excellent service. Nice colourful illustrations.
