This is the best tape for automotive harnesses. It works, stays in place, tolerates heat of the engine , cut and use, it's that easy. The more you get the cheaper it gets, so you save money on something very good you will definitely use.If you do work on your cars. This is the tape you need!

This tape is great for wiring looms in the engine compartment or other areas that might be exposed to high heat. Always check the manufacturer’s web site for specifics as there are several different types of this tape. Some are more felt based and are best low heat applications like under the dash or trunk area. I use both and have been very happy with these products.

Tesa 51036 19mm*25m Flag-Resistant PET Cloth Automotive Harnesses Tape: I use this product on a bicycle rather than a car, in place of electrical tape and self-fusing silicon tape. I saw a reference to it in a bicycle maintenance blog. It's a very durable fabric with a stellar adhesive backing that doesn't bleed, creep or come unwrapped. I've used it to finish handlebar wraps, as an underlayment for things attached to the bar that always want to rotate (bell, odometer, GPS unit), to protect the bike's finish from cable rub, and on front rack pannier attachment points (where the bungee hook typically fastens). I have only a month's experience, but it looks like a winner. It's a very impressive improvement to electrical tape for all of the things I've used it for. I'm looking around for some other things to do with it. If I had any automotive harnesses, I'd sure wrap it with this stuff.

Was the right product for the right job.

It depends what you are really using this for, but this tape isn't exactly very sticky, but then again it's not Duck® tape so don't expect it to be. It doesn't really leave any residue when removed and it removes easily from basically every surface I've adhered it to.

This is absolutely the best stuff for wiring harnesses. Wish I would have found this stuff 20 years ago.
