How can this be so good for so little money?
I've had this jacket for about a week now. It's been 90s here lately so first thing I did was zip out the inside liner. This XL jacket fits my 5'10" 190 lbs perfectly. I like the added length as it doesn't ride up and it'll be warm in the cooler temperatures. Armor isn't very heavy duty but adequate for most spills I'd expect. Seams are all good and zippers work as they should. Elbow, back and shoulder pads are well placed with not a lot of pocket slop like I've got with my other jackets. The plates stay where they should. Fit is customizable with straps and I like the general style apart from the big lettering down the front torso. I asked my wife if she could do something to make the big white letters go away but she said she couldn't and I was making more of a deal of it than merited. Honestly, it's not as big a deal as I thought it would be.My only real cons are that the Velcro straps on the arms are a bit short and an extra couple inches would be better there. Also, the neck flap when undone (warm weather riding) flaps a bit agains my full face helmet jaw bar but these are really minor gripes and far offset by the pros of this jacket. I mean I honestly don't know how this jacket can be made and sold for a profit at the $55 I paid for it. No, it's not a $500 Dainese but it's every bit of a $200 Joe Rocket or Alpinestar. I'd buy this again in a moment if I needed another. I should note that the venting seems to work alright but I ride a BMW K1600GTL so it's hard to get a lot of air on my body to truly judge whether the vents move air really well around the body. I can tell a difference even behind my big windscreen though. What more can I say; great jacket and a fantastic price. You won't be disappointed.

Good fit, sharp look
This jacket looks and fits great. I'm 5'11 / 165 lb. with longish arms and ordered a Large. The cinch straps allow me to snug the jacket up nicely and the sleeves are long enough even with arms fully extended. The armor, though just foam, stays in place well and sits right where it should on shoulders and elbows. Cinch straps on the elbow keep it secure and also help keep the sleeves from riding up. The waist cinch doesn't hit me perfectly, and when crouching / standing the hem of the jacket rides up a little, but it seems to stay in place better when sitting on the saddle, and the back is cut pretty long so it covers the hem of pants nicely. The front and pocket zippers are big and sturdy, plenty of pockets, nice comfy neck ring, and seemingly solid patches where you need them. 2 big zips on the chest and one on the back / shoulders should provide some venting, and the removable liner is warm and comfy (3 season anyway).A couple of small complaints. The liner fasteners are pretty delicate ... going to try to add some stitching to strengthen them up. Also, the front zipper is left-handed ... no big deal but a minor irritation. The pocket for the back armor is a mesh sleeve that holds the foam armor in place ok, but if you added a heavier duty armor pad I could see the pocket stretching and getting loose, as opposed to the shoulder / elbow pockets which are full textile pockets and should secure about anything you can fit in them.EDIT: After a few rides it's becoming obvious that the velcro cinches are not very high quality. Not a deal breaker but would prefer beefier velcro and stitching. All in all a fair / good, medium-protection jacket at a great price. Would recommend to a friend.

Great buy!
For the price, you cannot beat this jacket. This is my first motorcycle jacket and I looked long and hard before I made a purchase. I went to cyclegear and tried on several, but I could not bring myself to spend $230. I was looking through amazon and stumbled upon this one. The reviews seemed good, and for $45, I made the purchase. Even with the $15 shipping, it was worth it.I ordered the jacket on Saturday and got it by Tuesday. The other reviews said the jacket runs small so I ordered an XL. I'm 6'2" 170 lbs. I have long arms and it is difficult for me to find a jacket that doesn't come up around the wrists. This jacket fits well. No problem with the sleeves coming up when I'm riding. I just took a 40 mile ride with a temperature of around 45 degrees. It was heavy fog which kind of turned into a misting rain. Not enough for me to really speak about the water proof ability but I remained dry around my torso. I only had jeans on and so mechanics gloves. Everything but my torso was freezing but the jacket kept my upper body comfortable. I should mention I had a fleece on under the jacket. If I were to go out again, I might add another layer.I've only had the jacket for a short time so I don't if I can really comment on the quality other than my first impression. As for that, it seems fine, no defects out of the box. I was also a little turned off by the giant letters on the front, once you receive the jacket they seem much smaller.Other reviews mentioned the back armor moves around, I have yet to have that happen. The armor will add some cushion during a fall and add a layer to help prevent road rash.In short, I am extremely happy with this purchase and have already recommended it to a friend.

Awesome jacket for an awesome price
This jacket is very good and it looks great. What others are saying about the sizing is true. Go one or two sizes up, depending on what you like. I am 5'11 and 200 lbs. I normally wear large but went XL and it fits just right, snug but comfortable with no adjustment needed. The jacket comes with a removable liner for cold weather. However, when you remove it, there are 2 small velcro patches inside the sleeves, down by the cuffs and they will rub against your skin and become very annoying. That should have never been there. The jacket has plenty zippered compartment and it has removable padding on the elbows and back. The sleeves and waist area have adjustable straps and it also has a velcro strap by the neck. I've use it on a hot day and it breathes well when you are riding, when you stop though...that's another story, but that's normal. I think that if you are in the market for a good riding jacket at a low price, this may be your best choice.
