Fun for kids, riffs for adults
They’re very fun and are entertaining for all ages with how specific and silly and universal the questions are. Love how small and portable these decks are and I always go to gatherings with strangers with one of these decks. They’re improved over the question cards for kids because they are truly great for any age with how unique and comical the questions are.

Useful in classroom
Great prompts to start discussions with my students. I use with 4th and 5th grades. They enjoy the questions. The cards are a little small but still functional.

Engaging
Great way to strike up conversation. The questions were almost all appropriate for my kids and it also let them learn things about me as well. Great to keep in my purse for when we go out to eat or are sitting waiting somewhere.

Super fun!
These cards are a LOT of fun for parents and kids to do together - or you could even do this in a classroom! So, there are 13 different prompt sections:DreamerPuzzlerNarratorPonderBuddyZenHomerLegendQuizmasterCuriousQuickfirePerformerAll doing different things - for instance - the "Quickfire" prompt means you have five seconds to respond! It's fun. There are also yellow cards that can do three different things:Doodler - requires craft materialsDetective - needs internet accessTechie - requires a phoneThese are fun for a lot of different situations - sitting at home, around the dinner table, on car rides, etc. Whenever you have a few minutes and want to just "talk". Teaching kids conversation skills is crucial for their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Here are some important reasons why:Conversations help children develop empathy and understanding by listening to others’ perspectives, feelings, and experiences. This fosters a sense of connection and community. Conversations also encourage kids to think critically, make connections, weigh options, consider different viewpoints, problem-solve, and articulate their thoughts. You are also trying to lay the overall foundation for effective communication. This is essential in all aspects of life: from personal relationships to academic and professional settings. As part of effective communication children can learn to recognize, understand, and regulate their emotions, as well as understanding those emotions in others. This emotional intelligence is important for building strong relationships and navigating social situations.Learning how to communicate effectively is a key component of building and maintaining relationships. By engaging in meaningful discussions kids learn to establish and maintain friendships, resolve conflicts, and develop a sense of belonging. Students who can articulate their thoughts and engage in discussions tend to perform better academically and develop a stronger sense of self.Having conversations with kids can help parents to better understand their children’s thoughts, feelings, and needs, strengthening the parent-child bond and fostering a more supportive and responsive relationship. Let's face it, it develops their vocabulary, too!Cards like these can help parents and teachers model conversation skills themselves using respectful tone, active listening, and open-ended questions. You can encourage the kids to focus on the speaker, maintain eye contact, and ask clarifying questions to demonstrate understanding as active listening. You can also encourage kids to ask open-ended questions that prompt thoughtful responses and foster deeper conversations. These cards can help to practice the role-playing that helps kids develop conversational skills in a low-stakes environment. You can also offer constructive feedback and encouragement to help kids develop confidence in their conversational abilities and empower them to become effective communicators, build strong relationships, and develop essential life skills (verbalization). The only thing a tiny bit negative I would say about these? While I do understand why they made them smaller, as they want them to be portable... BUT. I do wish they were standard playing card size. They do have the light laminate on them, and rounded edges... but they're so tiny! I feel like I could easily lose these. Upside? They ARE in a very sturdy box for storage. The writing on the cards is a decent size, too, not too tiny.Overall this is (in my opinion) a fantastic set that really can help parents/teachers both instruct about conversational how-to's, but also bond with one another, too, AND work on effective communication, empathy, and vocabulary. It's a win-win. Highly recommend!

Perfect for home or school
I use this questions as journal entries for my students, but my coworker took a picture of them to get for her children. I think it's a great conversation piece for families or for students and teachers. I use these for my high school ESOL class, but elementary aged children could use it too. Some of the questions seem silly, but they challenge you to think about it and make it personal. Highly recommend and definitely worth it.

well thought out conversations cards and activities
Really love this deck! This is a great road trip or dinner table set that will help you have fun and meaningful dialog with your kids. The cards are well thought out and help kids use their imagination, empathy, and rational thinking. So not only is it a great bonding activity, it helps teach important life skills like problem solving and emotional intelligence. In addition to the conversation cards there are 3 types of interactive activities (doodler, detective, & techie). Some of these may require a little bit of prep in advance if you plan on taking it on a road trip or on the go; so just pick and plan wisely if you are using these activities for travel. Some of the other activities just require a phone with internet connection, so again be aware of that if you are going to be somewhere with limited service.

Good family time
These cards are great for parents to enjoy with the children. I ordered these for my grandsons because they go out to eat often with family. This helps keep them from being bored while waiting for the food to be served. Plus many of the questions help the parents understand what the boys think. The detective cards which need internet access also help the boys learn in a more fun way than they do during school. 400 cards means they can use this for quite a while and then in another year, some of the cards about opinions will have different answers, and the ones where they learn something will show if they retained the knowledge since it was learned in a fun fashion. These cards would also be good for plane or train travel, or even time in hotels. Great to take during travel since it takes minimal room to pack.
