Must have for higher end gaming builds.
What can I say? Absolutely fantastic processor! I dont think there's anything out that that can bottleneck this, not for some time yet. Delivery was great as it was handled by amazon, very good value for money as the price for this processor is continuously fluctuating. I paired this with the MSI pro B650-S WIFI motherboard and a corsair H100i cooler. I had to flash the bios for the motherboard (despite it saying 9000 series ready) but this is a very easy process, just requiring a usb drive 32gb or less formatted to fat32, plugged into the correct usb slot, preloaded with the update files from the MSI website. I've had no problems whatsoever with high temps, even while running games like cyberpunk and KCD2 at ultra. This processor is a must have if you're building a gaming PC.

Great gaming CPU arrived on time as always.
CPUs are pretty standard but this is great for gaming. Lots of cache for great gaming performance and stability. If you are doing heavy multicore tasks like rendering graphics etc I would suggest using the more expensive siblings in the range like 9900 range or even the 9950 if your have the coin, but for gaming this is the sweet spot and the value for money choice. If gaming is your usage case then get this, the more expensive offerings won’t give you enough extra in game performance for the extra money.

AMD has deleted Intel when it comes to gaming with this chip
Recently upgraded my build to the following:CPU: 9800X3DMotherboard: X870E AORUS PROGraphics Card: Powercolor Hellhound 7900 XTXCPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVOMemory: 32GB DDR5 6000MHZ CL30 XPG Lancer Blade RAMCase: Antec C8 (fanless version)PSU: CORSAIR RM1000x Gold EfficiencyMonitor: Gigabyte 27" 4K UHD 160Hz AdaptiveSync HDR IPS Gaming MonitorTesting was done with settings as they were straight out of the box-only changes were enabling Expo in BIOS.Bought the chip as I succumbed to temptation lol (previously had a 7800X3D). And it's actually made more of a difference than I thought. Playing World of Warcraft, it's made a major difference with the 1% lows. I used to get some stutter with my 7800X3D in certain areas-felt laggy, but since swapping out I'm yet to experience any form of dip in performance. It feels so fluid, just great to play. And Overwatch 2, the perfomance is so much better as well. Baldur's Gate 3 - buttery smooth.Temps are perfectly fine as well, peak being 85 degrees in Cinebench 24 with a score of 1346 (multicore), and the temperature never going above 75 degrees in normal heavy gameplay sessions.Don't have a regret buying this chip-it's the ultimate gaming processor.

Flawless Performance, Perfect Upgrade from AM4
Absolutely zero qualms with this processor. The saying goes buy once, cry once, and this proved that to be true. Coming from an AM4 system with a Ryzen 7 5800X, this was the perfect upgrade to AM5. Scores of 133 Single Core and 1301 Multi Core on Cinebench 2024, and fully saturates competitive titles on my 480Hz monitor. It shreds through everything and anything I throw at it. No issues after 7 months at all.

BEST GAMING CPU EVER!!
This 9800X3D replaced my totally rubbish Intel Core 9 Ultra 285, that killed itself in under a year, that wasn't overclocked and had a 360 AIO for cooling. What I have noticed while gaming even at 4K using my 4080 Super or my new (and has much better drivers) 9070 is no more 0.01% lows of 1-2FPS or 0.1% lows of 10-30FPS in games like RDR2 TLoU pt1&2, SP, X4, Dying Light 1&2, RE4, Sons of the forest, A Plague Tale 1&2 all on ultra preset etc, and a gain of 40-60FPS in 1% lows and a much, much better gaming experience in general with the 9800X3D. Functionality:Best Gaming CPU Ever Made

5/5
Very good CPU that will keep up for many years to come. Runs cool at around 60 degrees during 1440p Ultra Gaming including CPU heavy games such as Star Citizen and around 40 degrees Idle.

Very good, it runs very hot so I’d recommend under volting it straight out the box
Very good CPU, upgraded from my i7-10700k, it runs very hot though under stock settings, cooling it with arctic”s 360 pro aio, but after a few YouTube videos it’s easy to undervolt and watch those temps drop, a great cpu
