Our shower outlet is mounted partway up the wall, so the underside is visible.- The underside of this outlet, not visible in the promo photos, is a huge open slot through which the raw chrome-plated brass pipe is visible.- The decorative cylindrical housing and wall escutcheon are also made of chrome-plated plastic. Very smooth, undoubtedly high quality, ABS, but still lightweight plastic.- The internal brass tube is crudely moulded, with flashing projecting out into the path of water flow.Sent it back and replaced it with a solid piece of chrome-plated brass at half the price - the "LuxShowers Shower Outlet wall plate hose connector - round".
