I’ve had no stomach upset or side effects, which is a ideal for anyone with a sensitive system.So far these iodine tablets have helped me feel more balanced overall.Whether you’re looking to support your thyroid, boost energy, or just ensure you’re getting this essential mineral, I recommend giving them a try!I have 5 nodules on my thyroid and it will be interesting to see if there has been any improvements since my last scan.

Could Aid Thyroid Function & Cognitive Health - Be Careful Of Dosage
To help maintain thyroid function and also aids cognitive health.The manufacturer's directions suggest taking two tablets a day, but, as one tablet is 500mcg I'll err on the side of caution and take 1 a day (which makes this a year's supply).A few websites expressly say 'Avoid exceeding 500 mcg of iodine daily unless advised by a healthcare professional / Pairing iodine with selenium helps optimise thyroid function and reduce oxidative stress'.As I'm at 'that time of life' and do need some support (won't elaborate here) this is perhaps why my MIL recommended I take these with Selenium, which I also have.Too early to say if I'm feeling benefits but better supplementation will hopefully help me feel more energetic and balanced in future.Great value for a year's supply.

Low cost Iodine useful especially for men’s health.
Iodine Tablets 500mcg High Strength Iodine Supplement 365 Vegan Tablets by Carlyle £9.99Iodine is a useful supplement for both men and women which is confirmed by a good number of scientific studies. It is especially useful for men’s prostate health. While my experience is anecdotal, following a period of taking one tablet a day for a month my PSA level has gone down. A caveat is that it could be due to other factors, however, this is in line with the known benefits.I take a course of the supplement just once every so often, yet the amount provided by Carlyle is enough for a whole year (and longer if used periodically) and the tablets are good for a few years before reaching the Best Before End date which on my pack is August 2027As to price point, the cost is more than reasonable given the amount supplied. Five stars and no less!

The packet is average in size which when opened can be resealed to avoid contamination, containing 365 tablets and to take 2 tablets a day. The label states the nutritional information as well as ingredients and directions for use. The expiry date is August 2027, at the time of this review that is nearly two years.

All medications and supplements are subject to any number of unwanted effects so you should take personal responsibility to ensure the benefits outweigh potential risks.Date Received: 04/11/2024Best Before: 08/2027Adults need 140 micrograms (μg) of iodine a day and these tablets give you 250μg each from the active ingredient Potassium Iodide. According to the NHS, taking 0.5mg (500μg) or less per day of iodine supplements is unlikely to cause any harm, but you should take care not to overdose on Iodine as long periods of high dosage can change how your thyroid works, leading to unwanted weight gain and issues with hormone production. This product provides 333% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) per two tablets (the stated dosage on the pack) so you’ll need to pay attention to how much Iodine rich foods you ingest too, such as fish, eggs and cows milk.The tablets are supplied in a factory sealed ziplock pouch and are in a small, easy to swallow rounded format. The dose is 2 tablets per day so don’t be tempted to take more than this unless specifically instructed to by a medical professional. You get a half year supply of the recommended dosage for £10 which is very reasonable.If you are vegan or otherwise lack Iodine-rich foods in your diet, or have been advised by your doctor that you would benefit from Iodine supplementation, these are a good value for 6 months supply. Obviously I can’t speak too much about the quality of the ingredients as I don’t have access for laboratory testing.
