When this toy arrived, I was surprised with just how big it is. Yes, it’s the size that’s noted - but I was delighted with just how substantial this was. It’s the perfect size for keeping on your bed, carrying around or just regular play. (Just to note - it’s not as big as the picture from below of the boy in the aviator hat and striped t-shirt.)The toy is soft, very well stitched, robust and will definitely be okay if thrown around and treated a bit rough. But the best thing is that it’s absolutely adorable. He’s exactly as the picture looks and is as cute as a button.And a good thing about this plush is that it’s fully machine washable. I haven’t tested this out yet as mine remains quite clean - but looking at it, I’d be happy that it would wash up well and survive!It’s hard to tell if this is actually an approved and official Pingu toy - although I would suspect not, despite the pictures and the words Pingu embroidered on the toy’s scarf. The price would definitely suggest that it’s an affiliated toy, however. Yes, £23.99 (at the time of my review) might seem a little high for a plush - but it’s definitely in the range that I would expect for a character toy. If your kid (or you) love penguins or Pingu - I would definitely recommend this adorable toy.
