We used to buy "Pre-Strike" in individual small packets, but this product is no longer available. Glad to have found this. Our "Misquito Bandito" (man who fogs our yard for mosquitos every 3 weeks) sprinkles a bit in our birdbaths each time he comes. I ordered more since I often empty and scrub out our birdbaths, and must add perhaps 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon each time I change the water. Without this, I can see dozens of twisting larvae in the water. But with Altosid, there are NO larvae. This is expensive, but one container will last for many summers, with plenty to share with neighbors!

I used this as well as a liquid residual product to be sprayed on foliage and resting areas. I put it in the standing water and areas that accumulate standing water after rain in May. Mosquitoes were horrible before, but after my double knockout treatment, I haven’t seen more than a few mosquitoes the rest of the season. On my half acre and my neighbors half acre, I used only about half of the bottle maybe less. It will last me until the next humid rainy season. Definitely worth the money. Very easy to use, just get a small measuring utensil you don’t need anymore and put the suggested amount per puddle/area of water and not too much. Doesn’t need a lot to be effective. No smell, and the pellets dissolve rapidly.

I've had severe mosquito problems for 4 years. I started using this suff where I suspected the infestation and no more mosquitoes within two weeks. Haven't seen one since then, been about 6 weeks.

Works well. I use this with another spray once a month and have no mosquitos

Has worked within 48 hours to pretty much clear all mosquitos from our two-tank Delta septic system. I am not sure why all of a sudden we have such a problem with mosquitos but they are being eradicated!
