Strong and complex fragrance!
It took me a while to write this review because I wasn't sure what to make of this fragrance. This is my first oud fragrance so I didn't know what to expect. This is a strong, oud forward, complex fragrance that might not be for everyone. The first scent that I noticed was a strong lavender citrusy sweetness; then the oud becomes prevalent. The best way I can explain oud is that it is like a warm musky woody scent; it kind of smells like sweet warm sweat TBH. This oud scent is present throughout the entire development of the fragrance but its more prevalent towards the middle of that development. Finally, a sweet woody powdery scent takes over for the rest of the fragrance's development: it's soft, warm, and pleasant. When it comes to performance, I got a solid 8+ hours of longevity with a strong sillage for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. This is a strong fragrance and you can easily overdo it.The bottle is kind of weird looking, and cap can be a bit hard to put back on ( it only goes on in one direction.) I have accidentally sprayed a couple of times while trying to put the cap back on. It's not a big deal for me, all I care about is the juice inside. At first, I didn't quite get the fragrance, its like nothing I've used before, but I ended up liking it. I would say that, if you can sample it first, do so, but at this price point I think it's worth the risk if you like oud fragrances.

A Budget-Friendly PDM Layton Alternative – Smooth, Spicy, and Elegant 🌿🍎🔥
Al Haramain Detour Noir is one of the best affordable dupes for Parfums de Marly Layton, capturing about 90% of the vibe at a fraction of the price. It’s a warm, slightly spicy, and subtly sweet fragrance with a woody-vanilla dry-down that makes it perfect for cooler weather and date nights.✔ Bright apple & citrus opening—just like Layton’s fresh, spicy start 🍏🌟✔ Smooth lavender & cardamom heart—adds warmth & depth 🌿💜✔ Vanilla, sandalwood, & amber dry-down—creamy, cozy, and long-lasting 🍦🔥✔ Amazing value—smells luxurious without the luxury price tag 💰🏆Bottom line: If you love Layton but don’t want to splurge, Detour Noir is a must-try. It’s warm, smooth, and incredibly close to the original—making it one of the best budget-friendly designer fragrance alternatives out there! 🌿🔥👌

Super fresh and a bit floral
I bought this cologne because it was supposed to closely resemble PDM Layton which honestly I hadn't tried but I've heard they make some of the best colognes out there so I thought I'd give this a try considering the price. This was a complete blind buy so I don't want to knock too hard but it really just wasn't for me. This scent is fresh but sweet and a little floral and it reminds of a well put man in a business suit. That being said, I really don't like that style of cologne that is light and fresh, but I will say out of all the fresh colognes I've tried here recently that I ended up not liking, this one was the best of the bunch. It reminds me a bit of Boss Bottled #6 which I didn't like at first but then it grew on me. I compared the two and they are not the same really, but Boss bottled has that vanilla, floral freshness going on too. Projection is good, my wife did actually like it, but she didn't love it. It's just not my thing but I gave it 4 stars since it appears to be a good quality, fresh scented cologne.

Instant addiction
I remember smelling PDM Pegasus exclusif at the duty free and instantly liking it. This helped me scratch that itch. It’s a cozy, warm, and spicy smell that’s really addictive. Definitely worth the money.

Great value
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️**Amazing Scent, Unbeatable Value!**I’m really impressed with **Al Haramain Detour Noir**. This unisex fragrance offers a luxurious, complex scent profile at an incredibly affordable price. It opens with fresh, spicy notes, followed by a warm, woody base that lingers beautifully. The fragrance is both bold and sophisticated, making it perfect for any occasion—day or night. The longevity is great, lasting over 6-8 hours on my skin, and the projection is just right—noticeable without being overpowering. It’s a great alternative to much more expensive designer perfumes, and I find it comparable to some of the high-end fragrances out there. The packaging is sleek and elegant, and the 3.33 oz bottle offers great value for the price. This is definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile fragrance that works well for both men and women.

Great fragrance, cheap bottle spray
It’s an excellent fragrance however I only awarded 3 stars because the spray top came off in the second week.. I purchased another bottle because the fragrance is very good.. I was careful when I spray so as not to pop the spray top off a second time and I noticed that the perfume leaks out of the top.. it works but it’s not sealed properly resulting in leakage on to the finder you use to depress the spray top.. I also noticed the price increased.. I’d this the result of the tariffs? Darn these unnecessary taxes

Blown Away
Best smelling fragrance I’ve ever purchased, and I have purchased quite a few. This has a very soapy/powdery fresh balsam fir and citrus aspect to it that I haven’t smelled in any other perfume. Very intoxicating and lovely aroma. Very masculine and sexy. This is a mature fragrance that you want to pair with a mature demeanor and attire.

Smells familiar but good!
Smells good, but somewhat familiar. Blind buy because of reviews. Sweet, slightly woody slightly floral; but Nothing is Over powering . Well blended! This is a Nice One and….has a Pressurized Atomizer! Always a Win with a Pressurized Atomizer! I like this!
