Great product, make sure you check sizes of cable and gland so you get best fit
Well made and good price for the quantity (12 in my order). Already used 4 of these and they are doing a great job holding the cords. I'm glad I purchased the 1/2" size as my cord was just slightly smaller than 1/2"; but I believe with the unit able to gripe well down to 3/8" diameter I could maybe have used the 3/8" versions. Best to check which size you'll need - I didn't notice a size chart for the seller's ad; hopefully there is one and I just missed it.Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and when these are used I'll definitely buy more.

Get a better fit!
These worked great and I had no issues. They are water tight and seal up nice. I did make some slight adjustments to make them work even better for my way of doing things. Here are some pro-tips that worked for me:1. To slide wire through the strain relief easier, I put a little dielectric grease on the wire jacket to help them slide through nice any easy once they got packed with wire and were really tight. I would just wipe the wire as I pulled it out the other side so it didn't have any residue. This had the added bonus of adding a little bit of extra water sealing just in case there was a drop or two that might sneak passed, but for the most part is was just to make it easier to pull through as I think these would have been plenty waterproof without it.2. I did not drill the hole to 3/4 exactly, I used 19mm which was a but shy. Being that I was drilling a hole in plastic, this was perfect and the strain relief threaded right in and stayed tight even without the backing nut. Of course I used the nut still, but it was nice to get that great seal. If you drilled yours at 3/4 and it's a bit loose, a few wraps of plumbers tape might work if you are close and it should tighten up nice again without the nut on the back side, but like me, you should still use the nut.3. Treating the outside with a little bit of armor all wipe over the plastic if it will be exposed to prolonged sunlight and weather will help make sure it doesn't get brittle over the years.I hope this helped!

More than one use
I knew about these box connectors as I was an Electrician before retiring. Recently wanted to add an aerator to my septic tank. Had a difficult time trying to get a pass thru fitting of ant sort for the 1/2" hose to go thru the riser. They sell bulkhead fittings but they're barbed on each end. This means that you're escentially splicing the hose rather than just having it pass thru and sealed around it at the same time. Difficult time trying to find a rubber grommet as well. Seems that Electricians have it figured out while plummers are behind in this matter. You don't want to splice wires when you don't have to. Especially when you have a multiconductor cable or cord and need to maintain water tight or environmental integrity. This provides a nice seal around the hole with an "O" ring and the compression nut can be virtually tightened by hand, so as not to collapse the hose (though in this instance the hose supplied with the pump has a thick wall. I did not however, use the gland nut to attach to the riser but instead, used a 1" plastic bushing. Nice rounded edge and more professional looking. All in all good deal. Something to tell your friends about. Don't expect that you'll find this at HOME DEPOT or LOWES.

Nice Range of Clamping on Cord
I had a broken strain relief on an air compressor power cord. This was an exact match. I was concerned at first because the opening seemed pretty large for the size of the cord but it tightened down perfectly. I now have 11leftovers but it was worth it to repair the air compressor. The other 11 will go in my "i'll use these someday" box.

GOOD
Worked very well, strong, and durable. A fraction of the cost of metal or other options.

Does not close/seal enough
Unfortunately will not work for my application. I was trying to seal off an exterior junction box that has Ethernet cable running through it. The seal will not close down enough to make it a weatherproof seal. The last photo shows the fitting I got from HD. It closes down substantially more.
