The media could not be loaded. I didn't really know what to expect from these pens and it was fun to test them out to see what they can do. Essentially they are paint markers - you have to give them a shake and then press down on the nib a few times to draw the pigment through. The main colour for each pen is a shimmery silver and the lid denotes the secondary colour that sits around the edges. The colour only ever goes to the edges, even when you're filling in a solid shape! It's pretty fascinating.On paper or cardboard, these pens look really cool - they'd be perfect for any sort of paper craft. For the sake of testing purposes I tried them out on different materials and the result certainly wasn't as satisfying on less porous surfaces. On a rock, the colour wasn't visible, the different shades were all dominated by the shimmery silver. On plastic, the opposite effect occurred - the colour was visible but no silver was obvious. On a latex balloon I saw the same effect, the colour prevailed.The final effect, regardless of the surface, seems to be mostly water resistant. The shimmer will rub off with excessive friction but I imagine if you varnished the surface afterwards that wouldn't be an issue. The fact that it doesn't simply rinse away implies the pigment is not water-based, therefore I would be careful with these pens around fabrics and upholstery. They're probably best reserved for older children to use owing to the potential for permanent stains!At the time of writing this 12 pack of markers is reasonably priced at £7.99. I would recommend them, they are a fantastic addition to any craft cupboard.I hope you've found my review helpful.

The media could not be loaded. For someone like me who loves crafting, these pens are just gorgeous! The pack consists of twelve different coloured pens -all of them have a sparkly metallic central strip, and then an outline in a lovely bold, almost-fluorescent colour. The overall effect is really beautiful…so for card-making, or simply signing a card, or writing gift-tags, these will look amazing. I literally had no idea that you could get pens like this - and I really love them. Worth every penny.
