Purchased 9 months ago for two sets of wood stairs leading from house to the backyard to help dog from slipping and hurting herself. Installation is super easy and they make a huge difference in my dog’s safety when she barrels out the door to chase a squirrel. One set of stairs is covered but still gets blasted by the Georgia sun. The tape is holding up beautifully. The other set of stairs is not covered so gets the sun and rain. The adhesive started to dissolve and the tape bubbled up about a month ago so I just replaced the strips. Ideally they would last longer but I understand those are intense conditions. I may try a sealant but not sure if that would smooth out the tread too much.

I ordered the non slip as since my stroke I find I have less confidence in the shower, standing on wet tiles So far, I have to say they get 5*. The Amazon box arrived early, as always. Everything was well packed. I cut the roll into 10" / 25.5cm lengths for ease of application with slightly rounded ends so the strips would lay better. Afte a week there's no sign of any lifting and I feel very confident when now standing on the wet shower tiles. VERY Happy.

Works great on the steps of my new storm cellar. The glow stripes also shine bright in low light conditions making the steps easier to see.

Needed to alert guest to the step down. This was easy to apply and does the trick.

The good thing is that it does add a non-skid surface to things like stair treads and handrails.The bad thing is that it doesn't stick very well. I made sure all the surfaces were clean and dry, but the corners and edges started pulling up within a few days. I'm almost as worried now that my wife will trip over a curled edge as I was of her slipping when she was going up and down the stairs on crutches.I've tried getting it to stick back down, and I've replaced some completely. The same problem keeps happening. The corners and edges lose adhesion and start curling up withing a few days.Thankfully my wife will only be on crutches for a few more weeks and I have enough to keep replacing it on the steps she uses.This is definitely not a long-term solution.**** Update: 06FEB2024The company reached out to me based on this review. I like knowing that a company reads the reviews of its products and tries to act on those. Hopefully the adhesive issue will be addressed (I've seen it mentioned in a few other reviews as well) because there is a lot of potential in this product.

Has really good surface and walking grip. I used it on my motorcycle lift and it really helps with loading and unloading. It is tearing in areas. I know this isn't the primary function but it makes life a lot easier. I’ll be putting it on my deck steps before winter for the dogs. Just be careful when handling it, it’ll tear with some more effort than paper and it’ll stick together quickly. It does have memory from unrolling it, so if you’re using a big piece it’ll be easier to handle with 2 people. It’s great otherwise.

i tried installiIng this in our shower floor. When it gets wet, the adhesive will be gone. its not worth it. I tried to put it in a different location, in front of our sink but when it get wet, the same thing happens.its not what I think it is.

I've just applied this grip tape to a loft bed ladder and the surfaces around the entry into the loft bed (see first two photos). I cut the roll of tape into pieces at the correct length for the width of the ladder rungs, leaving about 3/8" space at the sides of the ladder. I used a paper cutter to cut the pieces, and scissors to cut rounded corners for each piece. Scissors will work in a pinch if you don't have a paper cutter. The paper cutter is especially handy if you're making longer cuts.When you peel off the backing paper and apply the strips, try to avoid getting your fingerprints on the sticky backs. Try to get it lined up on the first attempt, so that you don't have to lift it up and try again. When applying, it's easier to not get bubbles if you start at one end, or at the middle working outwards. Then smooth out each strip and stick it down tightly everywhere using a roller (not supplied, sadly), the edge of a smooth wooden block, a smooth plastic drywalling tool, or even the flat of your fingernail. It seems to stick pretty well to varnished wood so far. Time will tell if the corners start gradually lifting off.The start of the roll had one blemish where it looked like the rough surface had been melted. Too bad I didn't notice that until I had already cut my first strip (see last photo). That, and the lack of a roller, is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
