Great OCR Gloves... They're awesome!
First, the slit in the wrist wrap is genius! It is one of those "why didn't I think of that" things. I race in lots of Spartan and other OCR races. If you do as well you know that you and most racers probably wear a fitness tracking watch of some kind. The slit in the wrist is amazing cause you can still wear the watch and have wrist support. These gloves look killer as well. The red silicone on the palm, and the Spartan logos rock. The silicone has really good grip. If they get soaking wet and stay wet the silicone can become more slippery, however, just a quick wipe of the palms on my shirt or shorts dries them off. They are very well made, not junk like a lot of the products now days.I also own both of the other Fit Four Spartan Brand gloves, the OCR Neo Grip and OCR Slit Leather. Each pair has their advantages, but I wear all three on a weekly basis. See my reviews on those items too!

Callouses, rocks, rope burn BEWARE!!! You have met your match!
I use these while I'm doing crossfit, bootcamps, or OCRs and they're really solid with protecting your palms. Spartan Race tells you that these will not hold up indefinitely. You will need to get replacements, and this is true. I had to replace my first pair after the 6th race. Totally worth it, in my opinion. They help with grip, they don't retain moisture, they protect your hands from a variety of common OCR ailments (especially if you're at a course where your burpee penalties are in a dirt area filled with rocks). Overall a really good product. For the developers, I would like to make a suggestion. On some of my better cycling gloves they have a "lip" on the finger sections for you to get your gloves off easier. Integrating this in some way on these gloves would be super helpful.

Effective but bulky
The grip is solid. The rubberized hexagonal pattern is great on slippery aluminum bars and smaller ropes. I used them during the Spartan World Championships this past year at Tahoe. They saved me from burpees a couple times, especially on ape hanger and the herc hoist at the finish line. The wrist wraps were very bulky and uncomfortable. I couldn't get the chip to sit between the two pieces of wrap. Without help its very difficult to get the wrap to tighten evenly. If it's warm out the wraps make your hands really warm so be careful with them in hot temperatures.I would suggest the minimal version without the wrist wraps unless you really some wrist support, and even then I would look at just wrist wraps.Great grip, not good wrapping.

Great pair of OCR gloves, but don't work well on hanging obstacles...
Love these gloves! I've run one Spartan race with them, and they held up very well. Only thing I would improve is that the elastic band seems like it'll start fraying soon being torn up by the velcro. I would recommend to the manufacturer a more robust material for the band! One quick tip for OCR racers: These gloves work amazingly well for obstacles involving ropes (i.e. rope climb, Herc Hoist, etc.), but are terrible for any of the hanging obstacles (i.e. Monkey bars, Multi-rig, twister, etc.)! Fortunately, the gloves are easy to pull off the fingers for these obstacles, and put back on afterwards. Not sure if that was a happy accident or good foresight in the design, but I'm grateful for that nice "feature"!

Super velcro-y
I love these gloves! they really help stick my grip the day of the Savage Race. It was very muddy and wet all the time. However, my hands were always stuck two ropes, walls, and metal poles of different sorts. I also was able to keep my Fitbit on because it have a slit in the wrist strap for watches. The velcro is super velcro-y (if that's a word) and did not detach at all ever. There are two places where Velcro attaches so you have double the connection. I would definitely recommend it for anyone using a grip in any kind of race or even lifting

Uncomfortable and useless in Spartan Runs
I purchased these solely for the purpose of competing in my first spartan super race. I have medium sized hands and these gloves did not fit well at all. In fact, these gloves made it harder to complete obstacles. I had a lot of trouble using these gloves on obstacles that had bars and ropes. To be fair, this is the probably the case for most gloves but these gloves did not fit me any better than other gloves that I've worn. After using these gloves for the entire race, I took them off and noticed that there was quite a bit of blue discoloration near my left and right thumb. These gloves did not fit me properly but it had in fact caused bruising. The hole for your thumbs is an awful design. Fortunately, the bruising went away after a day or so. If you are thinking of getting these for the spartan run, I would not recommend these and would instead go gloveless.
