I use supplements to help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.This bottle comes entirely encased in plastic. Normally I don't like that, but at least it keeps Amazon from putting their label on top of the bottle's label, usually right over the information I need to read. The bottle comes about 2/3 full. Be careful when opening, as my desk ended up with glycine and/or rice flour on it. I don't see any broken capsules, so maybe a residue from the manufacturing process?If used as directed it will last 40-120 days (take one capsule 1-3 times daily).The expiration date on mine is Sep 2026.The capsules have a light scent and taste which are not unpleasant, and are easy to swallow with water.I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says GMP-certified, USA manufactured, 3rd-party tested, and 100% satisfaction guaranteed, which is nice since Amazon doesn't allow returns on supplements.I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. ProHealth not only puts their phone number on the bottle, but an international number as well. Their ProHealth site is both functional and informative. They not only have customer service, but they have a chat on their site with "longevity experts" who you can chat with about your supplement questions and needs. The bios of their medical advisors are also on the site. There is too much to list, you need to check out the site.I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I am impressed by the company and like the quality of the ingredients, including the lack of stearates and dioxides that many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements that I am aware of refuse to.Thank you for reading, I hope it was helpful.

While the ad for this product does show that is was sampled as pure glycine and I am not complaining about the product, but it does say that it contains 120 servings which is kind of misleading. If you continue to read the label it recommends taking it up to 3 times per day. I do not personally like having to take a supplement 3 times a day. But at that rate it still will only last 30 days. Most studies have shown for glycine to have a beneficial effect that most people consume at least 3 grams per day so at 1000 mg per capsule you really should be taking 3 a day.

I’m planning to take these 1000mg glycine capsules by Prohealth along with their 600mg NAC capsules to increase glutathione and help combat aging. Studies on GlyNAC are promising.Glycine can be taken continuously, but NAC is often cycled to avoid developing flat mood (anhedonia) and possible pro-cancer effects (because strong antioxidants can reduce intracellular reactive oxygen species, and ROS are used by the body to remove cancer cells). Therefore I plan to take the GlyNAC combo using three-week cycles, with two weeks “on” followed by one week “off”.Prohealth is a supplement company that focuses on longevity and anti-aging. They also offer testing kits related to healthy aging through their website. Their website shows a certificate of analysis, showing that a sample capsule contained over 1059mg of glycine, exceeding the promised 1000mg. However, I didn’t see any mention of contamination testing, or how frequently the ingredient batches are tested; that information would have been appreciated.The blue Prohealth bottle arrived with a tamper proof zip-off plastic overwrap. No glue-down seal under the cap. A small wad of packing cotton kept the capsules in place. The bottle was about ⅔ full. It's stamped with a lot number, manufacturing date, and expiration date; the expiry date is 09/2026, or 23 months from date of delivery.The capsules have no odor or taste. They are very large, 1⅛” long, and have vegetable casings. Many of the capsules were not completely full. Inside the capsules is a white crystalline compound that looks a bit like table sugar. I opened a capsule and poured the contents into a glass of water, where it dissolved after a minute of stirring. The glycine water had no flavor or odor, it just tasted like water.

I’m a big fan of glynac supplementation after reading about it a few years ago and offering to be the guinea pig in our family. I’ve used other supplements from prohealth, have complete faith in their manufacturing practices, and trust the brand implicitly. My sleep is good, my energy levels are great, and I’m pleased to have been offered the opportunity to try this. Thanks, prohealth!

I wish I had a better experience with this Pure Glycine product. I really like and appreciate that they include third-party test results in their listening pic. The product's packaging gives it the tangible feeling of a premium product. I was excited to give this a shot as I am someone who typically struggles with getting a good restful night of sleep. I either struggle with staying asleep throughout the night, or falling asleep altogether. When I took this product, I never noticed anything. Some nights I even took a few servings at a time to see if it made any difference. Perhaps I am not sensitive to it, or I have other areas that I need to address in order to get better sleep.I am not saying this is a bad product. Just didn't ever do the trick for me no matter how much I took. I hope this works well for others who give this a try.
