I have installed three of these. I am giving 5 stars because of the performance of the devices. They do not use up an outlet and they provide two additional usb ports in addition to powering the echo dot. All of the outlet plugs and the usb ports are working on all of the devices that I purchased. A couple of drawbacks: The "night light" works by a dimmer light sensor and cannot be turned off manually and the outlet covers don't fit "flush" to the outlet hole.

This thing is great! I bought it and another Echo Dot for my kitchen so we can drop into our child's room upstairs when food is ready, and to listen to music while cooking. The install was made a little more complicated than it should have been because I received the "Decor" plate instead of the "Duplex" plate, so rather than return/exchange, I replaced the outlet.The supplied instructions are pretty straightforward, and as long as you're comfortable with turning off a breaker, and have tools to test for current, the install is also pretty straightforward. The only snag I ran into was because the wiring in my outlet is all connected to the back of the outlet and not the screw terminals, the screw terminals on the outlet weren't exposed enough for the conductive plates to make contact, so I had to adjust that.Otherwise, this was a breeze, and it looks nice and clean.Pros:- Counter space not compromised.- Outlets not compromised.- Nightlight is a nice touch.- Echo Dot drops right in without any other wires.Cons:- Ordered "Duplex" and received "Decor"

It definitely does what it says. It holds the Dot securely and comes with a night light. I have one in the kids room and my gym. Works great. Basics screwdriver skills and you will have no problems during set up and placement.

The idea of powering the echo dot without using the ac-sockets plus having two usb connectors for charging other peripherals is excellent. The bad part: the echo dot is held in place just by a usb male connector that goes into the recessed female connector of the echo dot. In the mount hanger I received, the male connector was not long enough to make a good electrical connection. The e-dot could not connect to the internet. However, powering it using the original cable solved the problem.

Just installed it, and it looks good. However, a few caveats to be aware of... (1) it does not work with decor outlets (full rectangle outlets), even though documentation shows it does. It needs the oval outlets and a screw in the center, and does not accommodate anything else. (2) it has a cord organizer, but it is not very useful because you need to remove the Amazon Dot to get cords through, and any normal length cord creates too much excess and then blocks the Amazon Dot from plugging in properly. So with that said, luckily I had an extra regular outlet I switched so it could work where I needed it to be located. I like it overall, and nice to have the Dot off the counter while freeing up a plug.

We wanted to mount this on an outlet in our bedroom. Well, since we are not 5 years old and do not require a nightlight as we are not afraid of the dark, this product is annoyingly bright when the lights are out. Also, there's no satisfying stop when you plug the echo dot in, just a sense that it may be totally plugged in. With a little wiggle, the power can go on and off. The outlet is brand new in new construction, the copper friction fit tabs are flimsy, and the plastic tabs these are on abmre also flimsy. I have no confidence that this product is not going to short out and cannot use it due to the brightness.

LOVE this!!! Easy to install, took one minute. The echo dot slips right in and remains out of the way, doesn't use up an electrical outlet and has a pretty bright night light. Plan on getting one of these for all of my echo dots!!

I like this, I wasn't sure how it worked when I first saw it but wanted an option for my Dot that was neat without excess wires and without blocking the speaker. This did the trick. It replaces the out cover and has prongs that go in the outlet box that touch the screws on the outlet to conduct power. Very clever. Will get a couple more for the other 2 Dots we have. Definitely recommend
