We have only had these for 2 days so I really cannot speak to the battery life just yet but so far so good. 2 out of 3 of our dogs bark at everything and it's just gotten out of hand so we thought we would give a bark collar a try to give our neighbors some relief. I didn't want to put a lot of money into one because I am still convinced they will chew them off of each other so this seems to be good quality for the money. We did have to switch to the longer prongs although both of the dogs have shorter hair and that seems to be more effective. My only complaint is that, although listed for small dogs too, the box is pretty large on my 10lb dogs neck so we will see if we can get some training in with it and take it off some too for a break and maybe the training will stick after some time.

Do not buy! I bought two of these for my dogs, returned one a few days later being it was to big for my female Chihuahua. Kept the other because it fit my Male. So reason as to why I purchased. I had gotten a letter from the county with complaints about my dogs barking. Husband and I let them out during the day while at work. Didn't know they would bark extensively until the letter. Soooooo the purchase was made. It worked out for my Male (so we thought) until the SECOND letter with a fine was sent! Apparently the collar stopped working after a few weeks un benoist to us who would only put on when we left for work. Thinking the collar was doing its job! Unfortunately the return time frame is up. My fault for believing I was making a good purchase from a company I thought was making good quality product.. I strongly advise to spend your money elsewhere and do NOT purchase this item.

the programming on the 2019 device I have is triggered by sound, so the dog tags often trigger the collar's routine.However, the largest liability preventing it from working is that the audible tone is immediate, but precedes the shock in all cases and delays the shock event from occurring too long. So the dog does not seem to associate the shock with the bark. e.g it's always bark->tone->shock in serial rather than parallel execution. waste of time

This is by far the worst shock collar we've tried. First it worked just fine at level 2, then we had to up it to level 3 and now the only way we can get it to work is to crank it up to level 5 which if the dog is outside the wind will set it off. I noticed about a week and a half in our dog wouldn't come out from under the couch when he was wearing it and when I finally got him outside I realized why, he was constantly being shocked when he wasn't making any noise. Even if we were talking in the house and he was there it would beep at random which usually escalated through to shocking. Also the shocking left a small burn on his skin and charred his fur pretty bad. Buyer beware, I wouldn't recommend this collar unless you're dealing with a full grown big dog and even then not sure I would.

Purchased this from my wife's dog and no matter what setting I have it on and how tight I have it on his neck he does not get any electrical stimulation enough to interrupt his barking. It does not work consistently either because sometimes he'll bark and it will beep and other times he'll bark and it won't do anything

Easy to use but they didn't work well when on ny dog. If they were laying on a table and the dog barked then they would go off. Threw mine away. Not worth the price to send back.

I really like this one. it's activated using sound, not vocal cord vibration. Our dog is now starting to think before barking. He was an obsessed barker. Barked instead of tail wagging, neighbors weren't happy with his "conversations", but him being a young dog with NO train before we took him on, he is now learning more acceptable ways of going about his excitement.

My yappy little pomeranian QUICKLY learned how many beeps he got before the shock!
