Dubuque Clamp Works Made in USA Wood Hand Screw Clamp 12 inch Hard Maple Jaw

My wood clamps are all over 30 years old, made of maple, and have been a pleasure to work with. When I needed more for a large project I looked over photo reviews of the sub 20 dollar versions from China. But their quality, material, and thread machining were all wrong. Small steel rods for tightening, undersized grips, split and filled oak instead of maple. Just kinda sad.I know what good tools can do to make work easier and enjoyable rather than a fight. These Dubuque clamps are a dream to use and will easily out live me. Out of the box they made me say WOW!Have a look at my pictures, perfectly square and finished in every detail, the 3/8 steel screws spin like butter and the large handles make release and tightening easy. These meet all my expectations and made in USA is a cool plus.

I have not seen nor used other clamps but I can say this is a solid, well made and nicely finished piece of tool!Jaws are flat , straight , sides are 90* square. Wood is very hard mapl. Screw threads are smooth . Wooden handles are rather thick which makes them kind of ergonomicly easy to grasp.
